Aikman says Cowboys will miss playoffs

Troy has zero faith in this team, even after an impressive win over the world champs. Is this post-playing jealousy or just plain douchiness?

Ridiculous

I vote douchiness. It’s hard to let Troy continue to live with his history and at the same time get away with his subtle hating on this team. I mean it’s one thing with Buck, the guys an unabashed homer for the Giants, but damn Troy – are you really analyzing our playoff chances or are you being devils advocate based on wishful thinking?

Most non-Cowboy fans think Aikman is a complete homer when it comes to the Cowboys

I split the difference and say he is neutral when it comes to his former team

I think he is wrong, but he is not the only one who thinks the Cowboys will fall short

It's going to be tough.

Objectively, they have the toughest road of all the NFC contenders, except maybe Minnesota. Even though they lost last week, Baltimore is one of the hottest teams in the league, and Philly has been playing lights out since the McNabb benching. On top of that, both of those teams are fighting for their playoff lives also. I think they can do it, but if you had to look at all the teams stacked up in the NFC wild card, they have the longest shot.

Philly is the problem...

I think most of the doubters out there believe we will beat the Ravens, but lose to Philly.

Given the way the Eagles have been playing along with the home field advantage and Dallas injuries I can see the point. If we can contain Westbrook I give us the edge.

Philly seem to hate us more than we hate them and they would like nothing more than knocking us out of the playoffs. However, its alway been their D that seem to doom us. This time I think the tables have turned. I believe our D is going to overwhelm them and you will hear cricketts by mid 2nd quarter. I think we have a real chance to put a beat down on them.

I watched part of the MNF game last week

and was not at all impressed with Philly. McNabb had sporadic pressure and still threw 2 endzone int and the browns O was absolutely horrible so I don’t consider a blow out against a crap team playing “lights out.”

I was positive the cowboys were not going to make the playoffs after the pitt game but that defense last week opened my eyes and now I have no doubt.

Doesn’t like Jerry and out of teams looking to make the playoffs we have the toughest road.. I think Aikman is trying be as objective as possible.

I dont fault Aikman. We havent proven any thing. We lost to all playoff teams.

We havent been consistent and we havent been healthy or gotten healthy.

Having said that we are coming together at the right time. Our D seems to be getting dialed in. Our running game is improving and the team is starting to believe.

P.S. Wasnt the last game unbelievably great not to have to listen to that prong Joe Buck. I am almost as fired up about him not calling this game as the game itself. Sometimes i get so carried a way with wanting to pound his pampous ass in the ground I forget about the next play.
