And inches to go, you don’t run that play.

There comes a point where you man up and knock the other guys back 6 inches.

should have spiked it and kicked a fg after that completion, down by 9, need to scores, why waste time getting a td

by Phildo on Dec 20, 2008 10:19 PM CST reply actions

I understand what your saying...

But you don’t know if your going to have another shot at a TD. I mean if you get an onside kick your looking at being close to FG position anyways.

by AirforceBat on Dec 20, 2008 10:20 PM CST up reply actions

But that is the only chance to win the game. That would have been before the 2 minute warning and it would have made it easier if the onside doesn’t work or if it does, I’ll never understand why coaches let the clock tick down and the game end. The 35 yard line isn’t that close anyway.

by Phildo on Dec 20, 2008 10:21 PM CST up reply actions

All year long when we need a critical play

The O line gives up a sack, or romo throws an INT or the D gives up a drive or special teams gives up a big return. It seems to be the one constant this year.

What I was watching was a QB who barely had anytime time to throw, who, yes made a few mistakes, but rallied his team to a near victory

Tough defenses make plays to get their offense the ball back. Besides fatigue’s an idiotic argument as those runs were the first plays of each of those respective drives. How were they fatigued exactly?

the entire team lost…we had opportunities to win but we didnt capitilize

Vent

Warning dont read on if you dont wanna hear my vent towards the team…
Damn coaches, bunch of sissies, I hope Jones hands Cowher a blank check tomorrow morning. Wade did ok at calling defenses, but as a head coach of the most prestigious football team, he failed miserably. Jerry Jones, I dont care what any one says, best owner in sports. Wants to win, spends to win, just has to hire the right people. Get Cowher, we have a great young defense, and an offense that can run the ball if dedicated to it. TO, I dont care if you stay or you go, just shut the hell up if you stay. Witten is the best TE in football, no question, hands down, thank you… MB and Choice, WOW, Felix, next year we need you, be ready to add another dimension. Ware, and most of the defense, Thank you, great job. Romo, stop trying to be a damn hero all the time. This team needs better discipline, better management of players, and more accountability for mistakes. I am too pissed off to write things logically now about how bad this was and how disappointed I am right now. Basically team needs new coach and philosophy.
