What Id like to see from the O

and I have still not stopped fuming. I realize we were a missed play here and a missed play there away from breaking this game open (TO deep, Miles austin Deep, a few defensive missed tackles, a converted fake feild goal, a fumble that you don’t recover), but it seems to me that this has been the story all year. Enough excuses,This team, is what they are. They are an underachieving group of talented players, who are coached by mediocre coaches that do not make adjustments, do not address issues that have been present all year, and do not hold players and each other accountable. During the broadcast last night, they said that Ray Lewis laughed about how simplistic our offense is, LAUGHED!! This is absolutely unacceptable, with the players we have on this team for our Offensive Coordinator to not be able to achieve decent results against ANY team is atrocious. I think we are now realizing who the real mastermind behind last years success was, and he doesn’t have red hair. In fact he is balding man who lit fire under players butts, and called a pretty good game plan, and had our offensive line playing like a impenetrable wall. Unfortunately, he is now the head coach of a team down in Miami that is completely turning around. Coincidence? I think not.

Garrett is not the only problem with this team. More went on last night to cause our anemic offense. Lets start with the play of Corey Proctor. It seems to me that this man cannot cut it in the NFL, and until he is replaced look for tony to have a man in his face all day. Despite this, Tony is not with out blame for this loss either. The man HAS GOT TO STEP UP AND LEAD this offense needs a rallying point. Right now, they don’t have one. He also needs to find his accuracy again, because its been missing since he took that splint off his finger. He makes a few decent long throws yesterday and that game is completely different. It may be the injuries stacking up on him, throwing with a hurt back has got to affect your play, but if that is the case then they need to change the Offense to something he can manage, Shorter to midrange routes etc.. Not forcing throws would be nice too, but I can live with that because that confidence is what I love about Tony. I can also understand how your play worsens when you have to avoid pressure all day. I can see how throws would be off, rushed, a defensive back not seen, or how you may not see a man or two open.
 
 Now lets talk about the communication issues. Why can’t our QB and receivers know what routes are supposed to be run on a given play? Every other team seems to not have as many issues with this as we do, why are we unable to fix this issue? This has been going on ALL year. It reaches a point where you have to blame the coaches and players, and as a fan be disgusted by it. The only player who may have a small excuse for these mistakes at this time is Roy Williams b/ he is so new. Otherwise, RUN THE RIgHT ROUTE. Secondly why can’t andre gurode know when he is supposed to hike the ball. he’s killing me smalls….

I wish I would have known this team was this way before the season, I could have accepted it. My hopes would not have had so far to fall. As a fan, I feel completely let down, disgusted, and disappointed by this 08 version of the Cowboys. They don’t look like a team. I can honestly say that even if we do manage to make the playoffs this year, we don’t deserve it, and if by some miracle this team comes together and makes a run at the SB, we don’t deserve it. There has been too much sloppy excuse for football this season, and we do not deserve any accolades for playing this inconsistent this year. Please do not misunderstand me. Do I wish they pull it together, win a playoff game and make it deep into the post season? You bet I do, and you better believe I will be cheering loud and proud, after all I do bleed silver and blue, but I don’t think I am going to be able to ever say this team DESERVES to get there.
Sorry for ranting, but I needed to get it off my chest.
