Early games open thread
The day has finally arrived. The Dallas Cowboys have a chance to rectify a rocky season by crashing the playoff party with a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. First, we have to wait for the early games to reach completion. The Eagles will be watching the scoreboard as they need the Bucs to lose and either the Vikings or Bears to lose. If that happens they will be playing Dallas with a playoff spot on the line, if they don't get that they'll be playing just to spoil our season.
This is an open thread for the early games.

I think NYG playing Tampa Bay last year
helped settle them down. Any of the NFC East teams could of won that game and gotten a playoff win.

More evidence of Officiating bias NY vs. Minn
3 & 6 for Vikes, safety blitzer has Jackson going over onto his back, Jackson throws it away JUST LIKE Flacco did going down last week deep in our territory. Result:. Jackson 13 yd loss/sack. Flacco incomplete pass. What BS. There IS Dallas bias by Officials.

I'm loving the referee crew in the CHI/Min game...
They aren’t hurrying to blow a whistle and are letting the play continue through its entirety. Then afterwards, they get together and make a ruling. This allows coaches to challenge if needed instead of a backbreaking….“play is not challengeable due to being blown dead”

Tarantion and Rodriguez worked together on Dusk tell Dawn
which was fun, and important in horror – here’s how
Remember how popular vamps were in the 90s? then 2000s was zombies? I think that movie was the bridge in eras of pop horror.
I also think vamps are popular when Dems win, and Zombies when republicans win. this trend goes back to the 80s

If Chicago and Minn doesn't matter what Tampa does
by Boyzfan94 on Dec 28, 2008 1:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
dude why do you keep saying that?
Please understand.
Philly needs:
TB LOSS
AND
CHI LOSS OR MIN LOSS
by DieSlowKeyshawn on Dec 28, 2008 1:10 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think that is off
the other scenerio is if MINN and CHICAGO win the Tampa game doesn’t matter..
by Boyzfan94 on Dec 28, 2008 1:11 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
The scenario isn't off. Scenario's can be "on" before the 1pm games start and "off" before it's halftime.
You’ve been debating me about playoff scenarios for 3 weeks now and you’re wrong every time. Please believe the scenario is correct.
by DieSlowKeyshawn on Dec 28, 2008 1:13 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
no the scenerio is.......
Minn, Bears, and Tampa are all playing now…
Minn and Bears win..Philly is out..
It’s that simple…
You can forget about the Tampa game…
Unless I’m missing something that’s the scenerio..
by Boyzfan94 on Dec 28, 2008 1:15 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Please stop.
The Eagles clinch a wild-card spot with a Philadelphia win and Tampa Bay loss and Minnesota loss
OR Philadelphia win and Tampa Bay loss and Bears loss.
by DieSlowKeyshawn on Dec 28, 2008 1:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
"they need the Bucs to lose and either the Vikings or Bears to lose."
that’s what Grizz said above. seems like if the Bucs win the other game doesn’t matter.

We've known this scenario since last Monday night.
why boyzfan thinks it suddenly changed in the 2nd quarter of the 1 oclock games is beyond me.
by DieSlowKeyshawn on Dec 28, 2008 1:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
ok...cool no sweat..
I had someone tell me a different scenerio how the Eagles would get bounced…
by Boyzfan94 on Dec 28, 2008 1:23 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
wow you guys are both right!
6 eggs to half a dozen or whatever
tampa lose and minn loss or chi loss
so tampa wins the other games dont matter
OR
minn win AND chi win it dont matter what tampa does because….
PHILLY needs 2/3 to lose
What the French?! Toast!

have Minn and Chi lose. Let the Bucs stuggle. Get the Eagles all psyched.
Then have TB win on a late field goal. That will suck a lot of wind out of their sails.

Just wondering
is goal tending legle in the NFL just saw a 65 yard free kick almost go for three points. And I was wondering if you can bat it away at the goal post if your the defense.
by staubachfan on Dec 28, 2008 1:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nope. You can catch it, but can't interfere with a ball going through the uprights.
Therefore you can’t “catch” a ball either that has a chance of going through the uprights.

if it’s on it’s way down, but has a chance of going through the uprights you can’t interfere with it. Think about how many guys would swat away those balls that land just over the bar.
