Don't overreact!

The nucleus of a championship team is here…we need a major upgrade at coach…that won’t be hard. We need to get rid of some players and I think that includes TO. Its hard for the QB to be a vocal leader when he walks on glass because of his WR’s history. Any other player that is hurting chemistry should be gone. We need a piece or two at OL to create some depth. We need help at safety. Beyond that I think we have the players to make the run we all want.

by Kansas Cowboy on Dec 28, 2008 5:43 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

lol beyond rebuilding the whole team and

“a major upgrade at coach… that won’t be hard”

nice thinking, unrealistic.

by DieSlowKeyshawn on Dec 28, 2008 5:44 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Not Overreact?

Baloney. This team is rotten to its core. I would fire Wade and hire a GM. Let the GM hire a coach. Then move on to fire TO and Henry and other old guys; Pacman is garbage. I would write off next year and rebuild. Total house cleaning.

by Iowacowboy on Dec 28, 2008 5:55 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

JJ will be "THE GM" until he dies or sells the team. His ego is so overinflated that he actually

believes that his choice of Wade and Garrett is the answer to a Lombardi Trophy.

I wouldn't cut packman

But cannot evaluate talent. He thinks an O lineman that is injured is better than someone without experience. But he doesn’t put them in to get experience. He didn’t realize that he didn’t have a back up QB. Wade is the problem.

by staubachfan on Dec 28, 2008 5:45 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

don't forget that getting him to play T. Choice, EVEN when Felix went out injured, was like trying to

pull teeth….when he finally gave him a chance, the kid did really good and has been one of the (few) bright spots on this team over the last several weeks

Huge Problem

We’re stuck with this team for a few years to come.

New extensions/signings(long term) since the ’07 season..
Romo
TO
Roy E Williams
Marion Barber
Flozell
Marc Colombo
Leonard Davis
Patrick Crayton
Terence Newman
Ken Hamlin
J. Ratliff

Not all are bad extensions/signings, but that is alot of money tied to a NON-PLAYOFF 9-7 football team.

Smaller signings:
Z. Thomas
Adam Jones

Oh Yeah, we don’t have a 1st round pick in the draft.

Enjoy the long off season. Once this game ends, I personally will not look at another piece of Cowboys news until I turn into the 2ND round of the draft in April.

The coach doesn't matter when you've got a guy like TO (and now add "Pacman" to the mix) in the lockerroom!

NO ONE could “Lead” this team, even Parcells, which is why he told Jerry “TO or me”, then left.

Why do we draft for “Character” then sign these prima donna free agents?? I don’t get it. It’s not baseball, Jerry, you can’t “Buy” a championship, they have to actually work together on the field.
And it doesn’t even work very often in baseball either.

Winning in the NFL takes heart/desire/teamwork. If we cut Owens and Pacman we have a chance next year, if not, it’ll be the same thing.
