1. can you name a well coached team that lost an important game by 38 points?
2. don't good offensive coordinators with pro bowl qb's, wr's, rb's and te's get in the end zone against division opponents?

4. isnt that a bad sign about the instincts of the guy who bought the team 19 years ago and has been gm for 15 years now?
5. is it a coincidence that a that our 11 years w/out a playoff win overlaps with JJ's 15 years as a GM?
6. the only player who stepped was nick folk, how bad is it that an nfl team needs the kiker to be the man in the locker room.?
7. what does it mean that our qb of the future is a turnover machine?
8. jj seems to suggest he wants to keep wade b/c there will be a work stoppage, as a fan why shouldn't we believe management is giving up (at least for a few years)?

Dont forget he went 13-3 last year.
What’s the point if he didn’t even win a playoff game with that team?

Hamlin far unperformed based on the money handed to him......oh...i think that's what you implied...
Newman should have been franchised as mentioned back in Feb….injuries did not justify long term deal…as I stated in Feb.
Flo should have been let go…cost, age, focus, and inability to block speed rushers should have played a role in his exit…as I stated in Feb.
Barber should have been tendered and played out the season before giving him money.
OR he should have been traded while his stock was high, and we could’ve gotten a top pick AND Michael Turner for cheaper….as I stated in Feb..
A better #2 QB should have been brought in during camp, as it was Obvious THEN, that Brad would not be the answer if called on…as I stated in August..
Trading for Roy Williams was a good move, regardless of what a few sour grape naysayers want to piss about.
Pacman Jones shouldn’t be going anywhere, as his cost, desire to excel, and upside are far to great to give up on…..
TO is a leader, a competitor, and an extremely gifted receiver, and those who don’t realize that don’t know much about football…The thought of not wanting him on this team is absurd….This team offense would have ranked in the bottom 10 in the NFL without him….believe that.
Jason Witten is welcome in any fox hole i’m in that’s for sure…..I wanna go to war with him….
At least Danny White made it to the NFC championship game 3 years straight…Romo, regardless of excuses about poor OL play, has not shown he can lead this team when called upon…I hope he doesn’t become mentally disfunctional, and get’s back up to fight another day…But for those who think it’s too early to be looking for a possible replacement or upgrade are sadly livin’ in la la land…THIS is the year to draft a top tier college QB for grooming….cuz Romo has about 2 more years to prove he can win when the leaves fall off the trees…
I have been a big supporter of Wade Phillips throughout this horrendous season, but even I must concede that the entire coaching staff needs to go …My first choice would be Mike Holmgren HC/OC…..second choice would be Rex Ryan HC/DC……..with either of them I would hire Dom Capers as DC….and I’d dig up Joe Avenzanno, where ever he is, to coach special teams……
With Holmgren, we would be more of a west coast styled O, which suits TO and Roy W better, not so sure Romo is up for the task though, since he sux at slants and quick progressions..but the running game would be more open and utilized better than what it has been…..
With Rex Ryan, we can hone our 3-4 into a more aggressive, physical, intimidating style that Ryan brings…It would also probably land us Ray Lewis at LB, and Dennis Thurman as our secondary coach…
Canty, T Johnson, Burnett, K Davis, Bowen, Proctor, Hurd, and Austin are all free agents……IF Canty and Austin can be resigned, I say go for it….all the rest BYE BYE….
Roy Williams, Anthony Henry, Barbie Carpenter, Greg Ellis should all be used as trade bait or be cut to make room for draft picks or FA pick ups……..
Speaking of Free Agent pick ups….Here’s a few we can surely use:
Ray Lewis-LB
Karlos Dansby-LB
AL Haynesworth-DT
Julius Peppers-DE
Igor Olshansky-DE
Oshi Atogwe-FS
Mike Roff-OG
Jordan Gross-OG/OT
Jahri Evans-OG
Boller-QB -————
Carr-QB I
Losman-QB I -—— (anyone really) besides Brad and Bollinger
Leftwich-QB I
McCown-QB -————
That’s it for now…….I’ll be working on the draft for the next few months, and hope to come up with a few gems…….stay tuned for informative insight in the months ahead..

I totally agree with you about Roy and Adam
But not Flo. Flo is one of the best tackles in the game. Believe it or not like 4 of the 5 ‘experts’ on ESPN.com picked him to go to the Pro Bowl this year.
He played injured for a chunk of the season, which is the story of the Cowboys of 2008. Injuries.

I agree with your assesment of Pacman, TO and RW
But disagree with replacing the entire coaching staff. I want JG to stay.

aussie...i've been in somewhat agreement with all your comments today thus far...
But your affection for Garrett is unjustifiable, and makes no sense…Did you even watch this pathetic offensive display ????? not just this bomb….Pitts, Baltimore, Washington, etc. etc .etc…….How many three and outs did you have to see today to prove to you that Jason Garrett is one of worst OC’s this franchise has ever seen, and to which no players on this team respect him, or support his play calling abilities…….This loss lays squarely on Garretts shoulders, as he is unable to figure out protections and adjustments, nor does he have any creativity to counter such blitzs or coverages..HE SUCKS……I can’t say it any louder…..

Do you think Jimmy Johnson was a good coach?
Ask him what the score of the last game he coached was, which was a playoff game. There’s your answer to #1.

But Jimmy Johnson
didn’t start out 0-5 in the playoffs.
0 = The number of Super Bowls the Eagles have won.

I'll take a shot at this
1. Jimmy Johnson lost 62-7 in his last game as a coach, in the playoffs.
2. Garrett has been a monumental flop
3. I don’t buy that Roy has underperformed. Ask me again after next year when he’s healthy.
4. He has set us up to be competitive for a LONG LONG time
5. So if he’s been GM for 15 years, then doesn’t that also encompass a Super Bowl win?
6. So Folk making FG’s means he’s the guy in the locker room? Wow….
7. You take the good with the bad. That’s Romo. Favre won a Super Bowl and got to 2 like that.
8. Why is it giving up if Jerry keeps Wade? The offense is what failed us down the stretch.
9. Uh, ok whatever. Like it mattered.
10. Why is Zach livid, because he’s over the hill and wasn’t really that great of a pickup?

Clarification
JJ was GM for 1 of the teams 5 Lombardi’s.
He was owner for 3.
He became GM after he pushed Jimmy out.
Read Boys Will Be Boys for a pretty fair unbiased account of all this. He points out a bunch of Jimmy’s mistakes (wanting to start Walsh over Troy, almost cutting Irvin early on, etc) on the personnel side as well as how the team was growing sick of him, but also poitns out JJ really had no hand in the personnel side until JJ left and points out what he started doing to the roster and how he undermined the coaching staff by having star players answer directly to him.
