At peace with the loss...
Strangely enough, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be that we've just missed the playoffs in spectacular fashion. In fact, I'm not even sure if I'm upset at all...
That was a bad performance by a team that had no business being in the playoffs. If we play like that in a December regular season game, then I wouldn't want to see what we do in the playoffs.
Having said that....
....I still believe Phillips and Garrett should stay. Coaching turnover and new systems aren't the answer. Some think Phillips is too soft and doesn't motivate the players. Even if that's true...so what? If I were an NFL player making several million dollars a year to play a damn game, I wouldn't need a middle-aged man yelling in my face to motivate me. The chance to get to hoist the Lombardi Trophy and be immortalized in history would be enough for me. And it should be enough for the players.
And maybe it is enough. Everytime they lose, we immediately assume they "didn't want it enough", that "they didn't care". It's easy to forget that there's another team on the football field that has something to play for.....and sometimes that team is just flat-out better than ours. It's easy to simply say the players are completely worthless (were they worthless when they thumped the Super Bowl Champion Giants a couple of weeks ago?), and forget that McNabb + Reid had a damn good run earlier this decade, so chances are they know how to win games like this.
I don't know, I just can't summon the strength to get angry/curse/cry/throw things. I love this team, but they lost. No matter what I do or say, that's the reality and there's no changing it. I still have to get up at 6am tomorrow to go to work. It's just a game.

Yeah I agree...
I said that earlier. I don’t know if they didn’t care.. but there is a lack of enthusiasm and I think alot of that comes from the head coach.
I’m not a big “fire fire fire” guy, but I would love Wade to show a little emotion.

Anyone think
these guys aren’t as good as they think they are? They looked pretty bumfuzzled today. I still think they looked unprepared uninspired and unimaginative too. So Wade and Co. need to feel a lot of the heat.

I agree except for wade and jason
i do not feel upset but relieved its over…however, there is a reason wade has never won a playoff game , this team was not prepared for this game and no one can argue otherwise. Wade is a defensive cord not a hc…jason garret is not ready and has not showed me the ability to adjust..Teams figured jasons offense out and he now has no answers..Injuries sure did not help but thats no excuse…Jerry who i love as our owner needs to realize bringing in pac man and tank etc does not work, the team does not need those type of personalities on this team….That roy williams trade does not look so hott now jerry…wr’s do not win u championships especially ones who run lousy routes. We need more football guys like choice..keith davis..witten..guys who love and play the game like its there last..K Davis is not the best there is too offer but he gives it his all and thats all as a fan i can ask for…see u in 09

I cannot stand the eagles..Hate them is more like it but...
They play as a team not like the boys who play like a munch of individuals…We have no team and thats the problem..

Yeah, I am glad the ride is over too...
It wasn’t “fun” watching this Dallas team go out most weeks and play below their capabilities.
I didn’t enjoy the headlines with Pac and T.O. and Witten and Romo.
I didn’t like hearing about Jason being a simpleton and Wade being a country bumpkin.
Besides, while I am a Dallas fan, I’m also a football fan, and I want to see the game PLAYED THE WAY IT SHOULD BE PLAYED. And it was clear from early on that this team was not who we thought they were ( or maybe they were, depending on our perspective).
Nope, I’m with you. Glad it’s over. tired of watching Jerry’s babies go out and make a mockery of the true American pastime.

Personally...
I laughed my ass off at the Cowboys in the second half. It was sad, pitiful, and I think all they had. I think with all this sh*t that went on this season, injury wise, media, mental mistakes the Boys just ran out of gas after the Giant game. Tony hasn’t been himself since that knee in the back. I’ll support the Cowboys no matter what, I have no idea what to do to fix this mess, maybe things will be clearer in a day or two…

Personally I can never just accept a loss.
Especially not a loss to the Eagles. I couldnt even watch the game after the Barber fumble, it was just too much.
