Big Ben tweaks knee during Steelers practice
FYI...
Wednesday, December 03, 2008 By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger stopped practicing today when he slipped and slightly injured his right knee while throwing a pass.
Byron Leftwich took over and ran the final 1 1/2 offensive sessions over the final 20 minutes of practice.
Roethlisberger said afterward that he slipped in the mud in the middle of the Steelers outdoor, grass practice field. He does not think his knee is seriously hurt.
Coach Mike Tomlin prefers to practice outdoors when possible, especially when the Steelers have a home game. They also have an indoor practice field with artificial turf available to them.

At Least They Are Preparing For This Game, Unlike Dallas...

Partying around?
I’ll take some piped in music over our QB tweaking his knee four days before the game. At this point, you may as well trust Wade because he’s not going anywhere and you have to give him credit for turning this season around.

Turning this season around, eh? I faintly remember a number of months ago the Cowboys were the default choice to win the Super Bowl. I’m not gonna speak for anyone else, but the jury is still out on Wade Phillips and his intelligence/competitiveness in my book. Yeah, I’m aware of his track record, but we’ll see what he can do with the end of the season this time around.

You sound like the idiot Matt Mosely.
It’s gonna be a tough four weeks ahead. I hvae no problem with THE FIFTY MINUTES OF PRACTICE THAT THE MEDIA SEES being light.
Larry Allen benched 700 pounds. That is Leonard Davis times two.

Careful...the same could be said for Ware and Barber

Oh i understand that..
I have already said a 100% Choice maybe better then 75% Barber..
Ben is king of rushing back from injuries and not performing..

I really don't see a big drop off if Lefty plays!

I'll take lefty
He wants to play so bad since the Washington drive. I think if for some reason Ben doesn’t perform and/or Ware gets to him and rips his head off (since he’s a better pass rusher than Deebo) and BL comes in, guess what? I’m still not worried about it. It’s called team depth. And the Steelers have more of it than any team in the league as we’ve shown this year. Our second stringers and third stringers want nothing more than a chance to prove they can take over the number one spot. It’s what Tomlin has preached and enforced all year. And it’s working.
