For those of you who enjoy this part of the off-season, playing fantasy GM, I would invite you to visit http://www.drafttek.com/ . As opposed to one person's opinion, this is a computer simulation model based on team needs as designated by that team's correspondent. As you have probably already guessed, I am the Cowboys Correspondent LOL!
Believing that multiple heads are better than one, I am soliciting advice from my bloggin' brethren (thanks and a hat tip to Grizz for granting me permission!) Once you get to the website, click on the Team Needs page -- there is an explanation and definition of the "Priority Codes" for the various offensive and defensive positions, and then you will see how I have utilized those codes for my perception of the Cowboys' needs.
For those of you who get real jazzercized by all of this, there is a way to "work the simulation", so to speak -- one of the fallacies is that all teams are working from the same player list (which is a blended formula of several respected sites). As a result, we are allowed to "block out" specific players -- for example, I have blocked out some of the smaller 3 technique DT's, smaller OLB's, etc. that probably would not fit the 3-4.
If you're a draft geek like me, you may enjoy this and I certainly would appreciate the input. After the first round of free agency, we are planning on utilizing the "What If" simulation for the correspondents to make trades. Take a look and tell me what you think -- BTW, I have changed some of the prioritization codes on the next simulation that will be posted the end of this week, as I was not happy with the results of the last simulation.
