Moss & T.O.?
Thought this was interesting, and might provoke some discussion:
FoxSports.com's John Czarnecki writes that Randy Moss and the Patriots aren't really close on a new contract.
The Czar is known for some off the wall stuff, but this makes enough sense. Patriots reportedly believe that Moss will give them a chance to match any offer. It's uncertain who might go after Moss, but Denver and Dallas have been mentioned.

Now there's a WR who could stretch the field for us!

Do a little research, Czar
There is no way that the Boys could sign Moss and even a cursory glance at cap room would tell him that. Classic lazy "journalism."

why can't fans understand you can't pay
top dollar to 2 players at the same position, it would kill your cap. We don't need Moss, we need a solid speed guy who will keep T.O. from being double covered.
You can't have all pros at every position.

Unless you consistently draft them
You can't have all pros at every position.
Not necessarily voted all pro (popularity contest), but players who have "all pro" talent.
If you successfully hit on 4 of your draft picks every year, occationally re-signed a few, you could have all 22 starters with "all-pro" talent in about 6 years.
I can dream, can't I ?

hittin on most of your draft picks is dreamin
as Parcells says, its a 50-50 proposition at best.
I have yet to see a team successfully hit on 4 of their draft picks every year. I've seen teams very successful at hitting on their first rd picks on a consistent basis (Colts, Steelers, Ravens) but not 4 per year.

according to Jones, he should be back
next season. No surgeries are scheduled, so unless he reinjures it, he should be go to go.
