pacman and anthony henry
Maybe i'm crazy, or maybe i've just missed it in your posts
But what really happens to anthony henry? It would be ideal to slip him in at 3rd corner but would he really wanna go for that? What happens, does he stay until his contracts up and leaves or is he content with 3rd corner? Will he be involved in a trade to free up cap room? Does he change position to safety? if that happens what happens to roy? is he traded? Moved to linebacker or something? Or is pacman even going to be the second corner What do you think?....seems like a chain of events could go off from this signing.

Short term & Long term
Short term:
Newman and Henry remain our starting CBs discounting injury. Pacman comes in as our 3rd CB because he has not been active for a while, but he will still get plenty of playing time because of current offensive trends and as KR.
Long term:
Roy Williams might be let go barring drastic, like really drastic, improvement. Multiple options will now open up at safety based on the status of Hamlin, the development of Watkins and whether we draft K. Phillips this year. Also, Henry could be retained and moved to FS, and Pacman will move to the #2 CB spot (assuming he's still playing).
Our secondary is going to be a huge issue next offseason, but I really feel that it is going to get better. I haven't even talked about the CB we will be drafting this year.
We can have the meanest defence beyond our thoughts if we can also have a consistent pass rush. That depends on the following:
- Ware and Canty move up a level and are resigned
- Spencer begins to show dominance
- Ratliff is given more reps at DE
- Hatcher gets a few more reps at Spears' expense
Now, if we can draft a star ILB in the next 2-3 years...
Sorry, I'm drooling.

3rd corner gets on the field alot nowadays
A corner trio of Henry on the #2 WR, Pacman on the #1, and Newman on the slot wideout would be pretty good. Much better than having Reeves playing against #1s.
What happens to Henry?
Pacmans been out a year. He needs to shake off the rust & get his timing back. Get hit & hit people. Make it rain. Before he replaces Henry, who is also a very good tackler & plays the run well. Henry continues to start... for a while.

2 and slot
remember last year, tnew moved to slot on three wides, henry and jac reeves took outside receivers. with the pac aboard , henry takes #2 and pac and tnew cover the #1 receiver and the slot man. henry sits except in nickel and dime packages(we get alot of them)
Henry will probably
be released after the season. He will be 32 in November.
There is a slim possibility he could be moved to FS when Williams get cut, but I think Watkins would be a better alternative. He is a little long in the tooth and becoming injury prone to keep around more than another season.
It's real possible we could have two new starting CBs next season.

All very good points
Thanks for commenting, I believe it wont be long before pacman takes that second spot, a week or two into the regular season at most
Henry is no scrub
He is a tremendous ball-hawk, but he just can't stay healthy. I don't see Pacman beating him out that easily.

Gotta wait and see...
...just how "rehabilitated" PacMan is before pushing Henry out the door.
This year's draft tells alot, too. If #22 is a CB, then Henry's days could be numbered. If we don't go CB until later, then he could be hanging around for a bit.
Pacman wins starter job ...day 1
nickle job goes to Henry, Newman to the slot...
forget all this rust BS....the dude would have 4 months to prepare and hone his man skills...and he's 10x better than Henry...I'd even say he's better than Newman, as he's a much more physical playmaker.

you bet he will start
Yep, If Dallas signs Adam he will be the starter from the proverbial Day 1. When healthy and not suspended he is simply too good to be on the bench. Anthony Henry (when healthy) is a nice, solid starting cornerback. But he cannot hold a candle to Jones, who when he manages to be on the field, is every bit as good as Newman. That is the ‘feast or famine’ problem with Adam – he is so good that Dallas will immediately get addicted to having him on the field.......only to be disappointed and behind the eight ball when he gets banned.
Nevertheless, I'm still all for rolling the dice and trading for him.

Not trusting him
That is why Dallas needs to pick up a 1st round CB, regardless of Pacman.

amen to that Boyz
Henry is not on the same page compared to Pac Man.

thats if he'll be reinstated by the commish
I don't think we should be assuming thats a given because I'm convinced Goodell is going to make Pacman his whipping boy and use him as an example what will happen to players who allow themselves to get in trouble off the field.
i agree Tom.....add DRC to that group

+1
If we could get DRC, I'd be elated with our backfield. Newman and Jones (I refuse to call him Pacman) as your starters, Henry as your third, DRC and Ball with time to learn/grow behind quality players.
Then, next year, we resign Hamlin and move him to SS. Henry gets moved over to FS and DRC competes for 3rd corner. Drafting another rookie CB in the later rounds gives us more flexibility for the future too.

Henry
Will either be let go or take a significant reduction in salary next year. I believe his cap figure is currently over five million, and we can't afford to pay him and Newman a combined 15 million dollars.
And I do believe he'll be the nickel corner throughout the year; Adam (spread the word, PacMan is behind us now!)is a tremendous player who more than merits the chance to be the #2 CB
