Seattle Fans Vote for JJ to Start
I'm in Seattle this week, and I just read this article in The Seattle Times.
Source: Saturday, March 8, 2008 Sports Page C3.
Survey of 712 readers on seattletimes.com, who answered the question: Who should be the Seahawks' starting running back next fall?
72% said Julius Jones
21% said Shaun Alexander
7% said Maurice Morris
I found this surprising. How far #37 has fallen in the last two seasons.
The article, written by Danny O'Neil, Seattle Times staff reporter also had the following on JJ.
Jones' numbers in four seasons with the Cowboys:
885 carries
3,484 Yards rushing
18 Touchdowns

yeah, how the mighty have fallen
although I'm hoping JJ will do well there, no question in my mind he has the talent to be the feature back in Seattle.
lol all seahawks fans remember
is our game against them in 2004, when julius had imo the best game of his career. He was just unstoppable in that game, I remember thinking that we had locked down our future replacement for emmitt. lol if they'd seen him play at all during the last four years, they surely would not believe that.

The case could be made
that JuJo had a better career in Seattle already than he ever did in Dallas. Remember the 06' playoff game? Me neither, I blocked it out.
The NFL.com site
Has the same poll question up. JuJo is the predicted starter by a large margin.
I hope he does well, except against his former team.
He's the new guy....
The new guy is always the most popular guy in town.
The Seahawks have now signed both TJ Duckett and Juice. It's obvious that Sean Alexander and his $7.35MM cap figure will be history after June 1st.
How quickly the mightly do fall.
Maurice Morris is under contract for one more season, therefore he will more than likely compete with JJ for the starting role, with Duckett providing the short-yardage carries.
Jonathan Stewart could very well be available at #25 for the 'hawks, but I also would not be surprised if they address other needs this year (OL, TE, WR) and give JJ a chance to be the man.

JJ signing completely puts them out of RB race.
