Pacman at it again
First of all, let it be known that I didn't know whether to use a FanPost or FanShot. Please excuse me Grizz if this type of thing is more worthy of a FanShot.
As per espn...
LAS VEGAS -- Court documents allege that a 29-year-old man arrested for a Las Vegas strip club shooting extorted hush money from suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.
This kind of stuff is starting to get really irritating. I'm all for getting this guy, he's extremely talented. I just don't want to wake up one morning, get on BTB and see stuff like this from a man with a star on his head. I've begun to re-think whether I want Pacman on this team or not. What do you guys think?

Oh s&%#
This is all we need right now. Yay.
Hey, Tennessee! How long do you want to stretch this out? A seventh-rounder doesn’t sound so bad now, does it?
...But here’s something I don’t understand. If it’s true that this guy was given “hush money”, then why the f&@$ is he talking?
Always moving forward....

I'm done with Pacman Jones, waste of talent
I think the best thing for the Cowboys, the Titans, Pacman Jones, and the rest of the free world would be for Pacman to go by the way of Maurice Clarett and get really hammered get involved in a high speed chase with illegal weapons and then go to federal pound me in the a** prison for 7 1/2 years.
It will be a lot less heartache for all Cowboys fans if Pacman simply disappears and never plays in the NFL again.

Ok guys....
While I myself am the last person to want Pacman on my team, I still believe some fairness needs to be involved.
Pacman was part of a very bad situation, one that he himself almost single-handedly started. However, he himself did not pull the trigger. Whether he told someone too, well, innocent before proven guilty. He hasn’t even been charged with anything to do with the actual shooting.
As far as the extortion part goes: Your title is VERY misleading and does not convey the true nature of the story. The “extortionist” in this case would be the shooter himself, who got a hold of Pacman through third parties in order to extort money from him in exchange for staying quiet. Quiet about what, who knows, but it can’t be too incriminating if Pacman himself is visiting the police and picking the guy out of a lineup. Until some formal charges are levied against him in direct relation to the shooting, you can’t start throwing words and phrases around that are not true.
I am not a Pacman apologist. I do believe he belongs in the NFL at this point of his life, and I do not think he has fully learned the error of his ways. I think that he did something VERY bad and immature (making it rain) without caring about the consequences and the results were disastrous and heartbreaking.

regardless of how it unravels
this is just another example of how bad stuff follows this guy around. Do you really think he will get reinstated? As mentioned before, what has he done to clean up his image. Going on Irvin’s show was simply self promotion. Nothing in the three hour interview made me think “this guy has had it rough, and hes is trying to start over and live a better life”
I am trying to be as rational as possible about this, but I honestly think that Pacman is bad news, and we should stay away.

Well...crap...I left out a KEY word
I DO NOT believe he belongs in the NFL. Like I said, I do not think he has matured and found the error of his ways.
And this situation does keep getting messier. I just wanted to make sure that we here at BTB were not skewering the facts and turning things around.

Why stress, he's even cheaper now....
I see this whole thing as a positive business wise; if the Boys do decide to invest in Pacman this certainly will drop the price all things remaining equal….

CBLank - good point.
Very good point – Pacman just got a lot cheaper.

It Is What It Is
Look, just give individuals enough time and two things will be evident: 1) Their integrity will hold up or 2) They will bury themselves. Just give Pacman enough time and we’ll attend his burial in the NFL.

Pacman
Police do not seem interested in going after him about this= so either they are waiting for more to move or they do not care. If that is so, while it certainly stinks it actually does not probably effect his re instatement situation= since this all happened a while ago. Only if it comes out he did not tell anyone- but that does not seem to be the case.
