Arizona Cardinal Anquan Boldin looking for a new nest?
You think Chad Johnson is the only WR who wants out of his current contract?
WRONG.
Boldin recently met with Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and informed him that he would like to be traded. The Cardinals told Boldin they were unwilling to trade him, but would consider exploring the possibility of a new contract with him.
Personally, I think we should tug at Arizona. I think they're more inclined to let loose than Detroit would be concerning Roy Williams, the good one. His contract situation is $2.5 million this season, $2.75 million next season and $3 million in 2010. I'm sure by next week we'll be in negotiations with Arizona, ah, the silly season.

He'll get a new contract
Arizona doesn’t have much working for them on offense aside from those two great receivers. They can’t afford to lose Boldin; they’re good enough to where they don’t necessarily need to perpetually rebuild anymore. If they’re willing to talk trade, though, I dangle pick #28 on the condition that AB agrees to a reasonable restructuring (5 years/30 mil, maybe?)

5/30??
He is worse far more than that, he is a top 10 WR in the NFL.

oops
I meant “worth” far more than that.

Nah
Top 20, maybe. Besides, he can’t expect to get market value-he signed that contract fully knowing what he was getting into, he was an established player when he inked it. The fact that a team’s willing to beef up the existing years at all is a boon to him.

Gimme!!!
This guy made McCown, Leinart and Warner look like passable QBs the past few years.

Injury concerns
are what trouble me with Boldin. When he is healthy, he is a monster.
Aldo J. Bendaña Jr.
I don't think Boldin complements T.O. that well
we need a blazer with sub 4.4 speed to play opposite T.O.
In Romo we Trust
Fair point
But I think that’s more applicable when comparing a field of 2nd receivers. For example, Berrian would fit your point better when compared to DJ Hackett maybe. On the other hand, I consider Boldin to be a top tier receiver, and then you don’t necessarily need one to complement the other. Both will use their skill-sets to create matchup problems and ignite the offense. Plus, T.O. is plenty fast.
The Cardinals seem to do well with Boldin and Fitzgerald—neither are burners, however, they are both great receivers.

There is a vast difference
Between potential and proven commodity.

Once again
If Stanback turns into Boldin, we got a huge steal in the 4th round. I’m guessing you don’t believe that Boldin is one of the better receivers in the NFL like most of the NFL universe recognizes.

Hurd is more a Boldin than Stanback
Stanback=burner, very raw. Boldin was productive immediately upon entering the league, lacks speed (the one commodity Stanback has in vast quantities) but has everything else. Hurd is big like Boldin, has good hands, and can go up for the ball. He doesn’t have his skills after the catch and is nowhere near the same stage of development AB was during his 3rd offseason, but he could become a similar type of player.

how do you know
that Stanback can’t produce immediately? He’s really not given the opp with the WR’s we’ve had here. Boldin was sent right into the starting lineup no matter what because of horrible team they had. Hurd is nothing like Boldin IMO, Stanback is. And, still trying to figure out where i said he wasn’t one of the better WRs. Weird.
just got ownaged
Let Stanback develop
I didn’t say we should kick him out. But Boldin helps the team now. And I didn’t take Stanback—the Cowboys did.
