I'm guessing the cowboys will move down abit to try to recoup some picks

still some very good players left on the board. If by chance dallas takes another corner, I see Henry being moved to safety this year

by Deke on Apr 27, 2008 8:57 AM CDT reply actions

Trades

Does anyone know what we gave up to move up and take Jenkins? Also what did we get when we moved down in the third with detroit?

by Cowboy Blue on Apr 27, 2008 10:39 AM CDT up reply actions

gave fifth and seventh to go up for jenkins.

got detroits 4th this year and next year to move down

R Mendenhall Observation

R Mendenhall failed to gain >100 yds against – Missouri, Penn State, Iowa, Michigan & Ohio State. His big games came against Western Illinois, Syracuse, Indiana & Ball State.
In the bowl game against USC, his stats looked good because of 1 big run. I’m starting to like the F Jones pick much better now.

Where was he a year ago ?....is the question…back up to some clown named Pierre, on a perrenial Big 10 doormat…..

I think we take CB Godfrey of Iowa if he is there. . .

And I wouldn’t be surprised to see a DE/OLB Bruce Davis or Chris Ellis as potential targets in the 4th round. How do you like that boys. . .another OLB convert pass rushing specialist!

by JerrodWheeler on Apr 27, 2008 9:00 AM CDT reply actions

You've been reading Hashmarks

From Matt Mosley yesterday:

They like a defensive end from Virginia Tech named Chris Ellis, a defensive end from UCLA named Bruce Davis and a cornerback out of Iowa named Charles Godfrey. I would look for Godfrey to possiby go to the Cowboys in the third round.

by Dave Halprin on Apr 27, 2008 9:02 AM CDT up reply actions

So...

I’m stoked about yesterday’s picks, but now… Who are we taking?

by dunkman on Apr 27, 2008 9:01 AM CDT reply actions

Great timing

I’d love a strong safety here, but only if he’s an upgrade over Roy. I coul dlive with a CB, although the OLB/TE is better still.

by dunkman on Apr 27, 2008 9:03 AM CDT up reply actions

I think we should take

a safety with our first pick and a WR with our fourth rounder. That kid Will Franklin should still be available at that point.

by Valainferno on Apr 27, 2008 9:04 AM CDT reply actions

How about Zbikowski

He’s a “real” football player says McShay.

by accidental innuendo on Apr 27, 2008 9:07 AM CDT reply actions

not in the third round

I see the safeties going off the board in the fourth round

by Deke on Apr 27, 2008 9:09 AM CDT up reply actions

Good morning!

Nice to see everybody up early (at least on the West Coast). So do we got NT or S this round? I would like to see us end up with Andre Caldwell from Florida

by ChrisRichey on Apr 27, 2008 9:08 AM CDT reply actions

Don't like Caldwell or Bryant. . .

Godfrey/Bell is an interesting target. Franklin will be around later, no?

Bum's Boy Boyz

there goes Godfrey

picks are flying off the board

by Deke on Apr 27, 2008 9:15 AM CDT reply actions

2nd day guesses

If the Boys stay with the picks (probably won’t)

92 NT Red Bryant or Ahtyba Rubin
#100 SS Tom Zbikowski or Craig Steltz
#167 FB Owen Schmitt or Peyton Hillis

what do you guys thinks?

yeah but greenbay is loaded at receiver and they took Nelson

We cant depend on Glenn, anything we get out of him is a bonus, Stanbach is still an unknown, so I really think dallas needs a speed field stretcher

I'm hoping we

grab Barrett at 92 and if Manningham is there at 100 I’d grab him and then grab a QB in the 6th.

exactly

Manningham has attitutde problems and disappeared in big games

by Brandon Worley on Apr 27, 2008 10:08 AM CDT up reply actions

I'm not either

but it would be a 4th rd pick for a guy projected as late one or early two not too long ago.

It wouldn’t be like picking Skyler Green.

It could be great value but I definitely hear you guys.

Just read at DMN blog

that Jerry wanted to trade up in Round 2 and take WR James Hardy, who went to Buffalo at #41, but no one else wanted to do it, so he was outvoted.
