This was a great pick
The cowboys needed depth at RB, and there just arent any WRs worth th value of the pick.

Indded I have, I'll have something for y'all
in a little bit, but if there is one guy I know all about in this draft, it’s Tashard Choice.

Centric to Choice. . .repost
Strengths:
Natural runner with excellent instincts…Terrific vision…Hits the hole hard..Is tough and aggressive…Adequate blocker…Good hands and can catch the ball out of the backfield…Nice balance…Hard worker and leader with top intangibles…Productive.
Weaknesses:
Timed speed is just average…Not very elusive and doesn’t have much wiggle…He doesn’t run with a lot of power and lacks strength…Is not a big play threat…Might run too physical for his own good…Durability is a concern..Upside could be limited.
Notes:
Began his college career at Oklahoma where he redshirted in ‘03 and then backed up Adrian Peterson in ‘04…Was granted a transfer waiver by the NCAA and didn’t have to sit out a year due to extenuating family circumstances…He led the ACC in rushing as a junior…Does everything well but nothing great..It wouldn’t be a total shock if he ended up being a starter but he probably profiles as more of a backup.

lol...we drafted MBIV......nice going Jerry...you lost all your atta boys....

Still Waiting
I’m still waiting for a S, but it’s true that we needed more RBs in the roster, and he’s a good one.
Sit back and enjoy the return to dominance!
i wonder...
who’s going to be the first to bring out the lame Taster’s Choice line? i got money on trey wingo…
Time for the LBers to start being picked. . .LOL
That or we’ll go CB and OT
Bum's Boy Boyz
Good value pick
I personally would’ve gone a different direction to address some other areas, but the kid’s a talent, no question.

YES! YES! YES!
Little behind in Tivo time, but I really wanted Dallas to get him no matter what else they did early on.

Would rather have these 2 backs than Rashard

Aarmon Shields
is off the board…
He was a sleeper WR
And the secret sources in Cincinnati get the last laugh....
Sheild would have been a much better prospect than Choice..imo

I like Choice
Now we don’t have to pick up Lamont as the 3rd back. But damn we needed a NT. I’m pissd we traded right passed Bryant.

When do we get our WR?
im starting to think that jerry has a vet wideout in mind and genuinely thinks we can get him in the near future. not drafting a wideout in the first 4 rounds when it was one of our few “needs” seems kinda fishy to me. i just want to know who the mystery wideout is and what we’re going to give up to get him…
Jerry never said that WR was a need in this draft
and specifically stated that drafting a receiver in the draft that would take a while to develope was not something he wanted to do. He knows that we need a WR but only thinks a Vet can come in and make a difference. Dont be surprised if the Cowboys do not draft a WR at all.

no, I know, he was selected by San Diego a few years back
didn’t know he was back in this draft again. LOL
That's Andre

Choice has already graduated
Moved from OU to Georgia Tech to take care of his mom. He’s on the Ticket right now and sounds like a real high character guy.
And also says he not into Soulja Boy.
by Brandon Worley on Apr 27, 2008 12:17 PM CDT reply actions
the Defense is all about Soulja Boy
even coach Wade.
The offense has to get their own groove

They did give up one of the best ends in the league
but they are still headed in the right direction.
Hey
Are we done picking? I don’t see our name up on the lists.

Here's the deal on Choice
Great vision, sees the hole and hits it hard. Not afraid of contact and can break a tackle. Very high character guy who gave the pre-game speeches and generally kept everybody motivated. He’s not a homerun hitter but has OK moves in space. A little injury-prone, missed some games but always tried to play through injury. He’s a solid running back that get get you yards but he’s not the dynamic back a la Felix. He did lead the ACC in rushing but we also ran the ball a lot and ran it well.
A solid kid and a good back, but probably not a superstar.
Soo......Hes an upgrade over Tyson Thompson...
Nuff said.

Marcus Monk
has the highest potential at WR at this point in the draft, anyone else?
And the secret sources in Cincinnati get the last laugh....
unless he's gonna be a wedge buster nad great special teams guy...it was a senseless pick...
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.
We don't need that.
Pacman is one of the best punt returners and Felix is a great Kick returner.
And the secret sources in Cincinnati get the last laugh....
I was just askin
If our 3rd back is just as good at returns as the 2nd…..then I would rather him back there.

dennis dixon anyone?
what do yall think about getting dixon in the 7th round or as an undrafted fa? as far as i know, we need a qb to back up romo, im certain we’ll pick up a vet to do that, but i think dixon would be a good project. i don’t see how someone can go from heisman frontrunner to pure filth after an acl tear, i do understand that he may not be capable of playing a the same level as before, but the dropoff can’t be that huge… just my own opinion.
Give 'em hell! Give 'em hell! Make 'em eat sh*t!
Yeah, but Brad Johnson
won’t be around past 2008.

That was a heartbreaker of an injury
I really felt bad for him but he hurt his team by not disclosing how bad his knee was until it was too late.

I went to Oregon and I love watching Dixon
play. It would be interesting for Dallas to draft him. Oregon’s entire offense evolved around this QB. He can throw the deep ball, hit WRs from the shotgun, and boy—can he run!

I’m satisfied -very much so- with this draft.

I wont guess player
But the Cowboys might be looking at safety.
I know some people want FB, but with Bennett drafted, theres a guy who can be an exceptional wham blocker.
by Brandon Worley on Apr 27, 2008 12:58 PM CDT up reply actions
I still like Cricket at FB
Again i keep saying that we have to be careful in this draft not to pick up progress stoppers for some of our young promising talent
I agree
I don’t think they would’ve drafted Bennett that early if they didn’t have him in mind for some sort of hybrid role

NT Rubin still available I think

still pick at 155? What did we give up?
