Nice article, Grizz

If Keon makes the active roster, da Cowboys do play Baltimore this year—the final home regular season game in Texas Stadium.

U are going to TC again, aren’t you, Grizz?

Looking forward to you and Shango teamin’ up for your in-depth reports.

Rookie Pool

I heard that all of these undrafted free agents count against a team’s rookie pool. Does anyone know if this is true? How big is the rookie pool? Will signing all of these guys put any restrictions on our ability to sign 2 number 1s and the rest of our picks?

Tashard Choice Question.....

Sorry to beat this subject to depth, but I can’t find anything about his ball security…..I thought I read something at one point that he put the ball on the turf 20+ times in his college career. Is this true? Is he fumble prone?

Choice

I thought I heard the same thing, but the stats I am looking at has him with zero fumbles and Zero lost for his college career. That can’t be right either?

Choice Weakness

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?id=11618

Blue Devils TD Tashard Choice rushed up the middle for 2 yard gain. Tashard Choice fumbled. Leon Wright recovered fumble and returned for 24 yards (Nick Maggio made PAT)

A big concern of mine.....

....considering Choice’s running style. We’ve been blessed with JJ and MB3 doing a great job of holding on to the football in recent years. With two rooks stepping into the offensive backfield, my two biggest concerns are ball security and picking up blitzes.

They should put them of football patrol

like Parcells did with Barber. He has to carry the ball everywhere to get used to having it in his hands.

That #38 sure can hit!

Yeah, good idea

Thankfully, ball security can be taught. Just look at Tiki.

Haha...

That reminds me of the movie The Program, I wonder if Ware and Newman were popping the ball out of MBIII’s hands so he had to do laps or something.

While we're on the subject

How’s Felix Jones re: ball security? Haven’t heard much about him having fumbilitus or being careful.

Nice FA signings

Darrell Robertson OLB especially jumps out, great pick up. Also like Dowayne Davis SS, and Keon Lattimore RB. They all could have been late round draft picks.
Mark Bradford is a decent WR, he should make the PS.

I like the Marcus Dixon pick up, also. At first, I was in disbelief that we signed a guy that had been in prison, but after reading all about him, he sounds like a good kid that really got screwed over by the court system. I see him making the PS, at the least, as a DE.

Still waiting on a NT…

Robertson is at the top of the FA

undrafted list on NFLdraftsscout.com (Sports Xchange). He is the 8th best DE in their evaluation and projected for late 2nd round to late 4th round. He tore a pectoral muscle at the Senior Bowl and could not work out at the combine. This guy has a 37.5” vertical leap! AAnd he is pretty good against the run. This is a guy that will make the team.

Dave could tell us more as a true GT alum…..

Amendola & Dixon

Good to see their names. Both need a year or so seasoning. But I think both will be heard from – in the future - somewhere, if not in Dallas.
