New ticket prices released

Per the DMN.....

Supposedly, the cheapest seats in the new stadium will go for $59. The most expensive seats will be priced at $125.

Obviously, there won't be many individual tickets to be sold, as one will have to purchase a season ticket plan which includes preseason games as well as regular contests.

The seat licenses remain exorbitant, but evidently they are not obligatory for all seats.

You know what? That's not as outrageous as I thought it would be. I'm sure Jerry could squeeze more money than that out of the masses much like the Steinbrenner family is going to do with Yankees Stadium 2.0, but he didn't want to alienate his fanbase. Demand will be incredible, but the blue-collar Cowboys fan will get to see the occasional game.

You obviously

didn’t read into it…

You can only but season ticket plan, and to do that costs up to 4,500 dollars…

So you reserve seats, it is 4,500 dollars.

When those people turn around and sell single game tickets, it will cost about 7x more than face value if not more.

I'm aware of that

The face value, however, remains manageable. One can afford to, for instance, give a close friend a ticket to Game 15 without feeling like he sacrificed his kids’ tuition for a buddy’s graduation gift.

Maybe I missed it...

but on DC.com they have the map and the tickets without a seat license cost $590 for a season. And the cheapest with a seat license is a $2k license and $790/season. That’s not as bad as I thought either.

It's going to be worth it

If the computer gen models are even close to what it will actually looks like, I’m more than willing to shell out a couple bills per seat, kid’s tuition be damned. This coming from a frugal penny pincher. :)

I'll be willing to shell out around $400 per seat

but only if the seats are really good.

Maybe its just me..

So if im getting this straight most football stadium’s seats are to season ticket holders? So the only real way to get tickets is ebay when whatever season ticket holder doesnt want one? So if the highest price per ticket is 125 why why are they going for hundreds and hundreds of dollars? Is that person greedy? Im a little confused on how to come about tickets for a game. The game im interrested in getting tickets for is Dec 7th Cowboys vs Steelers. So if anyone can explain to me how exactly it works thatd be awesome. Im not looking to get tickets for the whole season or what not just that one very cold game haha. Thanks guys.

actually bigham, I have 2 extra tickets

to that game. I originally bought 4 but the couple we were going with backed out so if you’re interested in 2, e-mail me.

The reason most tickets cost well above face value is because most people buy them from ticket brokers who are trying to make a profit, thats where I got mine, ticketmaster, ticketsnow, etc.

Stubhub

Yeah I usually get mine through StubHub when I go. It’s entirely an auction system so you could get cheap tickets to see really lousy teams (like St. Louis last year) but prices to see the good teams will cost a premium (like NE last year).

I read somewhere that a few teams are considering doing all their seats in the auction way instead of fixed prices. That would cut out the middle man and let the market set the prices for each game. The positive would be potentially more money for the team and it’s more likely to sell out each game even if the team isn’t doing well. By selling out the stadium, you avoid NFL imposed local black outs.

I’d really like to see Dallas and Baltimore this year, I really like the way The Ravens play ball. but it is the last game at Texas Stadium, so it will be impossible or very expensive to get tickets.

I’m thinking that the Monday night game against The Eagles will probably be the one I’ll go to this year, I’ve never been to a night game.
