I think in the hoopla over Roy’s declining play, people missed that our ILB’s have been extremely poor in coverage over the past few years. That’s probably part of what Roy was alluding to as well when he said it wasn’t always his fault, because I would see plays where Roy got blamed for poor coverage that looked more like the MLBs responsibility. It seemed a lot of times like they didn’t get a deep enough drop in the Cover 2. I think that if Zach is healthy, it is going to change things big, big time for us. Imagine him and Kevin Burnett as the linebackers in the nickel, which will allow us to cover the pass extremely well and defend against running from 3 receiver sets. I hope he truly is injury free and the concussions are not a problem.
