Out of the 2008 Draft class...
which running back taken will be the most productive (yards and/or TDs) when taking into account, the teams depth chart at the position and related positions (QB, OL etc), the players skillset, and where they were drafted?
Who might suprise some people when taking all that into consideration?

I still think Felix will be one of the most
if not THE most productive back (trying not to be biased).. but i could also see jamaal charles racking up some yards. thats if LJ gets injured.. i’d also say mike hart has potential to suprise alotta doubters cause of that wide open indy offense and peyton manning softening up Defenses for the run..
Romo.. Witten.. Barber.. Owens.... First we had triplets.. Now we got quadruplets!!

Kevin Smith in Detroit - my pick
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.
"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

mcfadden
would be the conventional pick in an offense where justin fargas had a 1,000 yd season…
but i’ll go jonathan stewart and ray rice/matt forte as sleepers

Probably Kevin Smith or whoever the Broncos got (if they got anyone)

Mendenhall will be OROY
the Steelers love to run the ball and he and Parker will put up big numbers. The Cowboys are a passing team so MB3 and Felix’s numbers won’t be as impressive as RBs on running teams like the Steelers. Alos, look for Matt Forte to produce big for the Bears as I see him easily beating out Benson.
BTW, McFadden will be a bust with Oakland, he’ll see 9 man fronts every game.
In Romo we Trust

mendenhall is going to share carries behind a guy who was on his way to being the rushing leader last year.
and besides, if mendenhall was supposed to be that good, why didn’t carolina take him?

Because they
picked a different running back, so did the Cowboys.

I think McFadden
Rookie QB means more carries for the RB’s. McFadden is going to bust out some highlight reel runs. Forte would be my second guess (good call Terry). He’ll supplant Benson easily as the starter. If the Bears O-line can block for him he could put up over 1,200 yds. IMO
T-New, shutting down WR's for Dallas since 2003
