Glenn's time limited?
I haven't seen this discussed so I thought I'd bring it up.
Over at ProFootballTalk.com, Mike Florio has a quick blurb and an interesting take on the news that Terry Glenn will be sitting out OTA's this week.
We continue to suspect that the Cowboys are plotting a post-June 1 trade for a receiver, which would allow them to part ways with Glenn without exposing the team to responsibility for all or part of his 2008 base salary if he gets injured during offseason workouts.
I really hope this isn't the case. Who would we be able to get now? The only name that comes to mind is Chad Johnson, and I do not like that idea.
What do you think?

according to Romo
Glenn is going to play a big role in the offense this year if healthy and I for one see no reason to doubt him.

Not that a trade is imminent
But what do you expect Romo to say—“Hey, yeah, we’re basically just waiting to ship Terry out, so we can get an upgrade at the position.”
I trust a player’s statements on his teammate’s future very little, and only a little more than I trust his words on his own future.

What do
you expect Romo to say?
“Glenn is washed up and done, he plays no factor with us ever again”?

Romo didn't have to say anything
If Romo really doubted that Glenn might not play this season, he didn’t have to give him such glowing praise. He could have easily just said that he hopes Glenn makes it back healthy this season because we need him, not that he’ll surprise everyone on how well he’ll play.

PFT isn’t called the Daily Turd for nothing. They throw a lot of crap on the wall hoping some of it sticks.

"suspect"
being the key word… meaning they have no source, it is just pure speculation. of course it may be one possibility, but just as likely they are being honest, and expect him to play and simply want to minimize any risk prior to the season, knowing that despite how well he does in practice, he may be good for one game or 19 games, only time will tell.

Don't hold your breath for a trade
I don’t see any trades happening. We can’t take on salary, period. Maybe if a guy gets cut and signs a minimum deal it could work, but no trade can happen under the cap unless I’m sorely mistaken about our cap room.

T Glenn
The team is not letting him work out that is little strange. I could have swore I read some where they want him to have surgery.. I think they want him to get surgery this season, see what Amendola can do, and then decide on his future.
They are like us they are not sure T Glenn isn’t one bad cut on that leg away from being done for the season and we are a little thin at WR.

It's about the money...
The Cowboys don’t want to be on the hook for TGs salary for 2008 if he finds out in week 2 that his knee will not hold up.
They want him to sign a document that limits the Cowboys liability if his knee acts up and he misses most of the season. Which, to me, is a legitimate concern.
Glenn, of course, doesn’t want to sign.
The Red Ball Express will be rolling this year!
