Sources: Goodell, Pacman already had meeting
Calvin Watkins at the Dallas Morning News is reporting that Pacman Jones and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had a meeting last week in Atlanta.
Suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell last week in Atlanta about his possible reinstatement to the league, according to sources. Jones said he hopes to speak with Goodell and get a decision at some point this week about his return.

Hmmm
So what are they waiting for? Here’s to hoping the soap opera ends soon…

I agree
Putting myself in Goodell’s shoes, it had to be hard to give a public A-okay to Pacman after the previous week’s news, no matter how innocuous it may have been. A couple scenarios:
A – He’s already given Jerry a time-line for yes, assuming no other crap hits the media.
B – He will be announcing an extension into the season of 4 – 8 games
C – He actually has not decided yet.

D-Has to meet again with Goodell to answer questions about the $20,000 debt owed

Probably most likely
I’m sure Goodell doesn’t like his choices here, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t… the NFL has egg on it’s face from a series of Bungles (pun intended)... and Pacman isn’t making it easy…
Ultimately, Pacman will sell tickets and it’s his livelihood, so unless there are more troubles, I cannot see an extension beyond mid-season.

I am pretty certain it's A
Or the trade wouldn’t have happened. B seems more or less random right now…I’m not sure what Pacman has done that would convince Goodell that reinstatement isn’t appropriate right now, but will be 4-8 games into the season. To me it seems like the options are reinstatement or not, assuming nothing else comes up. I don’t think the 20k thing is going to be an issue.

+1
His markers are paid off, no charges filed. No issue there. Unless there is another skeleton in the closet we don’t know about, expect Goodell to set his reinstatement date and allow him to start working out at the facility.

Don't get me wrong,
I’m not happy that his debt came to that point, but Pacman’s not in trouble with Goodell for having bad credit. He’s in trouble for violent incidents and associating with dangerous people, and that’s not what this was. I know it’s all PR for Goodell, but frankly the whole thing was PR for the DA in Vegas anyway.

Was the meeting before or after the latest Las Vegas fun and games?

I'm not going to hold my breath
waiting for this reinstatement. If and when it happens, that will be great because Pacman is a great talent and should be able to help the team win provided he keeps his nose clean.
However, I’m going to have the mind set that he won’t be on the team heading into the season and Jenkins and Scandrick will just have to step up.
