Dallas Cowboys to do HBO "Hard Knocks" again
Ugh! I hate this idea, nothing but a distraction and brings back memories of Dave Campo in a wetsuit with Shamu.
According to this article, we're back in as the featured team on HBO's "Hard Knocks" this year.
CBS 11 Sports has learned that the Dallas Cowboys training camp will once again be featured as part of the NFL films series "Hard Knocks."

Keep it Private
I think the Cowboys should keep training camp as private as they can. One of the things the Giants have done is move way out of the area to Albany, NY so let fans and media are around. This lets the team practice and gel without the media and fan circus around them. HBO’s “Hard Knocks” will only make matters worse. All we need is TO getting riled up over some reporters comments!

Ugh
I don’t like it because the Cowboy haters will delight in an opportunity to deride our organization and players for whatever shenanigans go on there. That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy Hard Knocks, but that the exposure is going to lead to a lot more of the e-wars.

It's great to watch
but the last time we did it the season was a disaster so I am definitely a little traumatized after that. The more things like this that happen during Wade’s tenure, the more he will get blamed for being soft and allowing distractions if the cowboys don’t win it all. Not sure this is a good idea….

I knew this was coming
as soon as Pacells left. Jerry loves the having the Cowboys in the spotlight as much as possible.
I think with the characters we have on the team, it should be quite entertaining, looking forward to it.

Hard knocks history
When the Ravens did it, they finished 10-6. The Cowboys post-knocks ended up 5-11 and the Chiefs finished 4-12. It seems to be getting worse. Hopefully this year the boys can break the trend.

I know we'll win more than 4
I just don’t think more distraction is something Wade and the team need after last year’s disappointing ending. As explosive as the boys were last year, they still haven’t proven anything.

you mean more than BP himself ??
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.
"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

Gross
This is not good news; no team has ever really done well after being on Hard Knocks. With TO and Pacman and Romo, not to mention the Dallas Cowboys name, this should be a relative bonanza compared to last year for HBO.
However, I will say that I’m kind of looking forward to seeing this team now that I’ve been enlightened by BTB. I’ll know who all of the scrubs are! Our pet cats will be on a national stage! Should be interesting viewing.

Hmm
If HBO were smart, they would do an episode on Grizz and Shango following the team. Show how the life of a blogger who goes to training camp isn’t “dumbing down” America like Buzz Bissinger would have us believe. Right Costas?

Absolutely
When I saw the Bissinger clip, all I could think of was that if he saw BTB, he’d feel differently. We don’t even use bad words here…much.

I am ok with this.
This isnt the same team that Campo lead during the first one. If you dont think the normal press constantly being around the team during training camp isnt a distraction, a few more cameras for Hard Knocks shouldnt make much of a difference.
Bring it on.

thats true
I think the talent level on this team compared to 2002 was increased by 1000% and that is what will determine our success ultimately, not cameras during training camp.

I Seem To Recall The Last Time...
The Cowboys were on Hard Knocks, and training camp was centered around the cameras, the Cowboys came out and got drummed by the Houston Texans in their first franchise game EVER.
T.O. + Romo/Simpson + Pacman + HBO = Jacked Up Season
Now I’m worried.

thats because the Cowboys sucked in 2002
I don’t know how any fan can compare that team to this team, the talent level is like night and day.
