Cowboys Fantasy Depth Chart

The Dallas Cowboys have some of the most prolific fantasy players in Tony Romo, Terrell Owens Jason Witten and Marion Barber. See how they rate and who else on the Cowboys may have fantasy value

Star-divide

DALLAS COWBOYS FANTASY DEPTH CHART

Key:
PTR= Position Tier Rank. This is the level where the player should be slotted in drafts.

1 = Elite Player.

2 = Solid Performer
3 = Backend starter/Bench fill-in
4 = Roster Filler or long term prospect
0 = No Value

ITR = In The Rotation

PB = Position Battle

S = Starter

QB                                          PTR

Tony Romo – S                       1

Brad Johnson                          4

Richard Bartel                         0

Summary:  As long as Romo stays healthy the Cowboys are set at this position for years to come.  Romo has a gunslinger mentality and is just mobile enough to escape pressure in the pocket.  He is at his most lethal when scrambling to his right.  Should be a top five pick among quarterbacks.

I expect to see Crayton’s stats improve. Teams are doing do everything in their power to make someone besides TO beat them!!

hmm

between 12-16.. the poll could have had better choices

It's just an off-season poll...

And why would anyone be able to actually pin-point his exact TD totals? It’s just a ball-park kind of question anyway.

I picked 16, because with this O-line together and trying to improve for yet another year, and the M. Bennett 2-tight-end sets, I see us handing it to MB more often. Not to mention a few 20 yard bursts on 2nd and one following Pacman punt and interception returns.

Tar Heels football will surprise this year

Id say..

no more then 12… i think there will be alot more passing tds or scoring on longer plays like el gato on a screen play 40yards out!

What the French?! Toast!

passing td's?

Romo threw for 36 tds, how many more do you expect him to throw for?

I say 16 total for the barbarian.. 13 rushing, 3 receiving..

I'll take

mid 30’s with less interceptions.

If you take out the Buffalo game(5), and the 2nd Iggles game(3), he never threw more than 1 INT in a game the rest of the regular season. I don’t think he’ll throw for 40 TD, but it’s a good benchmark to set for himself. I’ll guess 36 TD’s again, but with only 13 INT’s this season. I think the running game will be more effective and take away some of his pass attempts.

fine with that

I know his Int’s came in bunches, but it all goes in to his decision making. I just want that to improve

Me too

But any QB with that many attempts is going to have some INTs. Batted balls, WR’s miss timing their routes, hail mary desperation passes. Overall, I think Romo makes great decisions 95% of the time. :)

Romo is a gunslinger

which means he’s going to throw his share of INTs, so just deal with it, Packers fans didn’t seem to mind.

In Romo we Trust

Agreed, you have to take the bad with the good

That said, I think Romo is going to continue to make smarter reads and make better throws. He’s pretty good at not forcing the ball (though the Bills game was gross, he still lead the comeback), and he’ll keep getting better. As long as TO is around, Romo’s TD/INT ratio will continue to get better.

I think 13

Because Felix and Choice will score a few times. I think the overall number of rushing TDs will be about the same, but Barber should produce more consistently as The Man and will be a fantasy stud as a result.

I think that is a testament to how good this team is.

They have an elite player at every position. Not many teams can say that. Offense. Defense. Even special teams. We even have the best punter/kicker combo in the league, in my opinion. This team is so talented, it’s scary. I just want them to apply it. I can’t wait for TC.
