Cowboys best team in NFL, "walks away with the Superbowl"
NFL Total Access had a segment on QBs Under Pressure and Romo was included (along with Rodgers and Jackson).

First, Jamie Dukes talks about Romo having to issue a public statement to People magazine about his personal life. "That's a problem, and that's a problem for Cowboy fans as well." Well, not really. Any Cowboy fan knows that the media loves to whip up stories around the Cowboys in general, and that the QB of "America's Team" is especially prone to being a superstar and subject of media attention beyond his role strictly as a player. That just comes with the territory. And has absolutely nothing to do with his performance on the field. Especially given how hard Romo is known to work and focus. So I think that just a dumb statement.
But this is the part I do like:
I think the Dallas Cowboys are the best team in the National Football League, and the key is gonna be if just Tony Romo can play like he plays in the regular season. That's all he's got to do. He doesn't have to have a fantastic game, just be who you are in the regular season and this team I think walks away with the Superbowl.

Please Don't Jinx Us!
I just want us to finish strong and win a damn playoff game for once. All this talk about Super Bowls reminds me of a lot of the folks here last season. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We know how the end of last season turned out.

Being honest about our team will not be what stops us from winning the superbowl.
We are the only team who made the playoffs in the nfc last who hasn’t lost a key piece or regressed.
GB-favre bye bye
seattle-lost starting wr, and other coming off major leg injury
tampa bay-lost starting corner and Jeff Garcia in contract dispute
NYG-Strahan retired
Redskins- coaching change, another offense for their young qb to learn.
We kept all of our key players and the coaching staff is still intact. We should have high hopes!!

On paper doesn't mean jack
Im an ardent Cowboys fan. But voting us the “Greatest Team” in the NFL smacks of raging homerism to me. The fact is this team hasn’t won a single playoff game in a dozen years no matter how Wade tries to spin it. Until we get it done ON THE FIELD I’ll stick with having high hopes. But Im not about to self-anoint us as the greatest anything.

your setting yourself up for heartbreak
by boasting and beating your chest about how great dallas is. Plus the nfl network has that “inside warriors training camp with the cowboys” or w/e it is. All its doing is putting tons of pressure on dallas, and they will crack this year, and how great its gonna be.

hey lighten up
the poll is meant as a joke. do you ever watch Colbert Report? (He often asks his guests, “Bush, great president, or greatest president?”)
we all know we need to win even one playoff game before we get to the superbowl. they know that too. the pressure is already there and they feel it regardless of what nfl network or blogging fans may say.
the expectations are there because the talent is there. it’s the same with the pats, it’s just that this is the first year the boys are really at this level, where the talent creates that level of expectation.
of course it all comes down to whether they execute.
but there’s nothing wrong with recognizing the very real potential of that talent to go all the way.
my heart won’t be broken any less if they don’t do it if I pretend that isn’t my hope now.

There is no doubt Dallas has the most talented 53 man roster in the NFL...
Should it translate to a Super Bowl Championship ?...yes. ....Will it ?...time will tell…barring injuries, I don’t see a team out scoring us, and I don’t know of a team that can keep us from scoring at least 24 points….good luck to the teams we face…

How do figure?
That same offense only scored 6 points on our defense last year, and our defense was not very good last year.

Really
Your D is a top 10 D, 9th in Points allowed, but you failed to mention the 38 points we dropped on you in week 9?

I remember the 38 points pretty well my friend
But you said you didnt know of a team that COULD do it, and we did.
My point was our D got a whole lot better this year.

Plus
We held you to 17 and 10 points with a suspect secondary. We are much better in the secondary and we have our Stud RB leading off games now.

first off....that was LAST YEAR guy.....This Cowboys defense, with additions of:
Zack Thomas
Adam Jones
Mike Jenkins
Orlando Scandrick
THIS YEARS DEFENSE is far superior than the above average defense we had on the field last season.
I’d bet anybody $1,000 bucks right now that we will be ranked within the top 5 in the NFL in points allowed and yardage allowed by the end of this season.

Redskins Fan here
I think the Cowboys are hands down the best and most talented team in the NFC, but what makes the NFL great is that it’s the most unpredictable league so who really knows. As for the greatest I have to go with San Deigo closely followed by Jacksonville.
The NFC East is the greatest division hands down!

wow...an objectional Redskin fan telling it like it is...kudo's guy...NFC East is the best...
Glad to see there are reasonable and logical fans out there besides these pathetic haters (Giants & Eagles fans) that spew crap from their mouths/fingers every chance they get.

Enjoy That Statistic
While you can. Within the next year or two Eagles fans will return to their customary posture of complaining about officiating, offering conspiracy theories why Dallas wins games, and lecturing Cowboys fans to wait until next year.
If Dallas does win a playoff game this year, are you willing to come back here, be a man, and admit you were wrong? Or are you just mentioning their lack of playoff success in the summer of 2008, because you realize it will be the last time for many years you’ll be able to gloat about it?

That's called denial
If that works for you, enjoy it for one more season.
BTW, for all the talent and chances the Iggles have had the last 10 years, how many championships did they win? Must suck to feel that window closing quickly.
