Something doesn’t seem right, Why a release?

NFL Live was all over the story, and their experts said GB was already set to move on the last 2 seasons without Farve. So after he retired in March, they were quick to basically rule him out of coming back. ESPN guys said GB wouldn’t be able to trade him because of his salary(not sure what the difference would be vs releasing him). It sounds like he’s definitely coming back, and not in a Packers uniform. Interesting.
