Lion's West Point draft pick ordered to give up football
This is a shame, as I was looking forward to seeing this player in action. The article doesn't say much, but his provision to be serve as recruiter while in the NFL has been revoked/superceded by a newer DoD policy.

Amen
One one hand its plain old wrong that the armed forces can essentially play games with your life that way, promising one thing and then doing another with no recourse available to you. One the other hand the armed forces has such a unique and immensely important mandate that they need the power that they have. It would seem to me they should be a bit more concerend with their public image though. This makes them look like bad. I mean what difference is one Lt going to make? And if it’s the precedence they are worried about setting then they shouldn’t have opened this can of worms in the first place.

he made a comitment to the military,no one forced him...
he got his schooling payed for now he has to do his service…same thing as roger staubach, did his time no complants and still became a star….if he was a regular joe it would be a fair trade….so i hope he stays safe and comes back and still has a chance at a playing in the nfl…and i thing chad henning was an a-10 fighter pilot before he played with the boys….i almost forgot about him, what a stud he was…...
