Big dead money next year
That would mean about $6 million dollars of dead money to the cap next year. Not to mention the $3 million in dead money this year.

How 4.4 next year?
His prorated bonus is $2.95 million per year through 2010.

If Roy was cut this year, the proation left of his signing bonus is 7.3 million
you could spread that out over two years since it’s after june 1st. Cutting roy this year saves the cowboys 3.7 million against the cap this year but there would be a 4.4 million cap charge next year. It would be cheaper for the cowboys to cut Roy next year

So the $11.1 million dollar....
signing bonus is prorated over 5 years instead on the four year contract length, presumably because he signed the contract during the 2006 season?

I am just as disappointed in Roy Dub
as the next guy. But I have seen what Campo can do with less talented secondaries. There is a reason he ended up as the head coach here. He started oput by excelling with guys like Larry Brown, Joe Fishback, Kevin Smith and Kenny Gant. Give him a chance to make an impact.
Maybe Jesus came down to Roy and gave him permission to start laying guys out again, as long as he is not horse collaring them. At least I asked Jesus to give Roy that message,

Who replaces him?
I’m tired of the Roy Williams bashing by Cowboys fans. If he was cut right now the cap hit is unmanageable and who, exactly, replaces him that is BETTER? If Roy Williams is the weakest link on the defense this year, we are talking about one of the best defenses in the history of the game.
