Where will Brett Favre end up
Well, it looks like Brett favre is going to come out of his long four month retirement, or in his case, reflection. Clearly, Green bay finally made steps to move forward as an organization without Brett, I'm sure Brett is saying, what nerve, how dare they do that, dont they know I am the organization. Sorry brett, you aren't the organization, it survived long before you got there and will after you are long gone.
So with the chances of Brett Favre staying as the backup less than one percent and he certainly wont get his wish for his outright release, where do you think he'll end up?
There have been lots of teams thrown out as a possible landing spot, Washington, Tampa,Minnesota,Chicago,Baltimore. The packers wont trade him to a divisional team like the bears or the vikings, so you can pretty much count them out. I think the best team for Favre is the New York Jets, Pennington has no arm, its an AFC team and a cold weather market, the packers would like to trade him out of the conference as a first choice. My second choice would be tampa, where do you think Brett Favre will end up this year?

NY Jets sounds like the best option to me.
He would fit in real nice in their West Coast offense. What an upgrade that would do to that division with Buffalo on the ups. New England won’t be dominating for too many more years now. I’m sure the Fins will be creeping back up in the next decade.
The Pack won’t send Favre to a division opponent, or even a conference team either.
The question is:
What do you think the Pack will get in return for him? Maybe a 2nd?

a second round pick
with a chance to upgrade it to conditional first rounder based on performance.

I would love a trade to the Jets
Since they’re always on TV here, it would make them fun to watch for the first time in the 5 years I’ve lived in NYC. Plus, he’s gone from the conference that way. The tricky question is what does the Pack do if TB offers more than NYJ. I think they have to go for the highest bid realistically, but it will be interesting.
I don’t really understand the Jets’ motivation, because I don’t think he makes them a playoff contender. However, it will get them plenty of press and will be fun to see.

I disagree
Favre is a small town redneck who has always lived in rural america, no way would he like the big city or all the distractions that go along with it.
Jets are definitely not an option.

best place for Favre is Green Bay..
He should jhave just said he was coming back from the jump. The team he is leaving has the best WR core out of all of the options..
Bucs WR are not bueno..

But Favre wants to go to a contender
do the Jets really fit that bill? I could see Tampa Bay more likely but that franchise is becoming a bit of a circus itself with 10 QBs on the roster and no clear starter. Garcia is holding out so maybe they switch one vet out for another.
Washington won’t risk setting Campbell back and the bears could desperately use him but no way GB makes that trade.
I have a feeling this will not end well for Favre and we will see tons of ints and frustration out of him this year.

True but
that was when Pennington still had two shoulders. That guy is like a human rubber band about to snap and their trade for T. Jones didn’t work out so well either. I doubt Favre would go there.

I see the Jets making the playoffs THIS year...with or without Farve.

the bucs...
that is the only place that makes sence….but he might have some leverage, to get to a team like the vikings because of his the amount he’s set to earn, i think it’s like 12 mil. so he could just say i’ll ride the bench for 12 mil. then they will have to trade him or cut him and if they trade him the new team has to pick up the contract and he doesn’t have to redo it if he doesn’t want to…..so as much as everyone says no i still see the viks, and the bucs as the two front runners….

I agree that the Bucs make the most sesne
I think GB would sooner pay Favre $12 million to sit/do nothing than they would allow him to play for the Vikings, their only legitimate threat in the division. I’m sure the Jets would be their first choice.
I’m a little surprised nobody is suggesting the Packers trade Rodgers and let Favre play for them for another year or two, while grooming Brohm (who they spent a 2nd round pick on). I guess the coaching staff is really behind Rodgers, because that makes some sense to me. You’d think Rodgers would be worth more in a trade than Favre.

Brett has to file for reinstatement first

if he files the paperwork
they have to let him back to camp unless they cut or trade him since he’s under contract.

jus sit it down
there on the schedule, so if he”s playn,(for packers) after that game he might remember why he thought he should retire in the first place.
TB is on the schedule, but dont have a major WR threat, thats lunchmeat for us,wrong move.
Jets might work, there not on the schedule this year.
Vikings yeah GB not that stupid with AP runnin.
actually Brett has had a great career, wish him the best in whatever, but he”s never been a Cowboy so I DONT CARE.

On his tractor, wearing his Wranglers, down in Mississippi
Thats where he’ll end up. Talk about a great QB tarnishing his image very quickly. Sheesh!

his wife just wants that 13 million dollars....
which is WAY too much for some 38 year old QB…..I hope GB screws him over …take him back , then cut him on the last day of camp.
