Terry Glenn update; Glenn denies ESPN report
Per Calvin Watkins of the DMN, Terry Glenn says that he has in fact NOT agreed to any kind of deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
ESPN (Ed Werder) reported earlier today that Glenn had told him he had agreed to a split contract with the Cowboys. Glenn is denying that report and says that he is refusing to show up for camp until a deal is in place.
UPDATE: After doing some digging, it seems that ESPN has amended their earlier story, saying now that Glenn has accepted the concept of signing a split contract.
I think that we can now pretty much come to the conclusion that Glenn will not be playing with the Cowboys this season.

i'm still...
kinda confused over this whole situation….i’ll be happy when there’s a media consensus…or jerry puts a nail in the coffin by releasing him or we get to see Glenn practicing with the squad. who knew? i thought we’d be doing daily updates for adam jones right now….

They should just release him
I still say he gets picked up by MIA, and the Cowboys can use his roster spot to sign another player.

Miami
Parcell’s isn’t looking to catch the falling knife either, unless Glenn wants to sign for the minimum..

They need a vet WR
Even though BP knows Glenn’s probably close to the end, he likes him and might take him in.
I agree it would be for the minimum, but still he would be the likeliest Vice Prez/GM/HC to take a gamble
Plus he’d at least be able to help mentor Ginn (a fellow OSU alum). IMO

I don't think BP gives a crap about physicals
He signs players with serious medical injuries all the time.

really
I just don’t imagine him signing a guy who the doctors say this guy isn’t healthy enough to play football.

I can see that happening
Parcells loves to have his guys around and TG is a consumate pro who can help in the locker room and on the practice field. Just because we don’t want him doesn’t mean he can’t contribute something to MIami. The only way that team can go is up and every little bit helps.

From Calvin Watkins on DMN blog
“UPDATE: Jerry Jones announced that the Cowboys will waive Glenn. They are not closing the door on the possibility that he will rejoin the team down the road, but they don’t want to risk him reinjuring the knee while rehabbing on their dime. Glenn will also be free to sign with another team. Much more to come.”
