Paul Smith is definately a rookie QB who should be signed right NOW

better than Bartel and this clown from Princeton…...JERRY…..SIGN THIS GUY…..

I wanted us to draft this guy in the late rounds….now we can get him on the cheap…..still early in camp….built in the mold of Romo…

A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.

"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

+1

He can’t be any worse than the Terrell kid from the sounds of things. If nothing else, maybe Smith could at least hit some of the receivers so they can actually practice running the route AND catching the ball rather than just the former.

Sign him Jerry, Do it!

Cut Terrell and sign him. You won’t be sorry.

at least look

im so open for suggestions, his #’s sound good enough to merit checkn out. if nothing else but to let the other guys know, step up or be gone!

Wow, Smith had some great #s in college

and lead his team to 3 bowl games. Sounds like a winner. He’s only 6’1” though.

I’d take a flyer. We need a new Jason Garrett.

That #38 sure can hit!

You hit the nail on the head

The kid is a winner, he just makes plays. Yes he’s on the short side, but when Tulsa needed him to make a play, he had a knack for coming through in the clutch. I wanted Dallas to take him in the 7th, but it didn’t work out. Now we have a chance to snag him, I just hope we take advantage of the opportunity.

As a Tulsa ‘07 alum I have to say I really hope somebody jump on Smith and I hope its the Boys. It was amazing to be able to watch for years of development. He always had the heart to dive for first downs, the brains and feet to avoid pass rushes, keep plays alive and inspire his team. He’s played and won big games, engineered big time comebacks, and has dealt with learning entirely new schemes during his tenure. He’s a high character individual who is a model citizen and just seemingly good guy. And though i’m definitely biased, he really does remind me alot of Romo. It seems like he was missing the accuracy he had in Tulsa at the Jags camp, but he’s a smart QB who doesn’t force balls unless he has to in real game situations.

All you ever wanted to know about Paul Smith

I did a google on Paul Smith rumors, to see if there were any current, and came across a guy’s post on a Chargers BB. This guy must be the Prez of the Paul Smith fan club, or something, but if anyone is interested there’s a treasure trove of info on him here

Thanks T-New

That was a fun little thread. I was pretty surprised he wasn’t even drafted. The estimates were that he’d go somewhere between 4th and 7th. And what is Jacksonville thinking letting Gray and Smith go? Who knows…

Lemon is better then both.

best thing for those 2 anyway

Let them have a chance to go to a team to compete for a starting spot.
