Lack of confidence not part of rookie Scandrick's game

+
Star-Telegram profiles 5th-round draft pick CB Orlando Scandrick. He could end up being one of the steals of this draft, as Kiper had him originally slated for low 2nd round. His D coordinator from college says: "He’s fast, he’s strong, he’s got long arms and he’s got fluid hips. Those things are hard to find in one package. His ceiling is very high." Dave Campo says: "He’s a very, very talented athlete. He’s got really great physical skills — burst and speed and a good instinct for the ball." With such depth at CB, he could make more of an impact on special teams this year, where he excelled in college. He provides good insurance just in case things don't work out with Adam Jones' reinstatement, or in case Newman or Henry get injured again. And in the long-term he ensures talented depth at the position for years to come.
