I would like to whoop up on some of you Madden players. Lets get a list going of everyone's Xbox Live gamer tag. Maybe we can set up a BTB Online Madden league. I was thinking maybe 12 teams possibly a fantasy draft? What do yall think? Maybe we can get some others from the other SportsNation site,s and get a little league going for a little bit more competition.

Does..

Anyone else hate how they took training camp drills out of franchise mode. Now you have to train before each and every game! And i liked scouting when all you had to do was a drill for that player. To me they took all the fun parts of franchise mode and got rid of them in the next gen maddens..

ps playing with Hit and Run is phenominal. I love it.

It's the same as it was last year

And I actually like it better this way – now you can upgrade your players a lot more over the course of the season. The drills are a little wonky – to me, the RB and OL drills are easy, DL and LB and QB are tougher, and DB and WR are pretty much impossible. The 40 yard dash is pretty easy to get a +5 or +7 in, too (despite what seems like a slow time, it’ll give you the points).

The way I used the points in Madden 08 is to seriously beef up my run blocking and add speed to the defense and WRs. You can get your run blocking ratings up in the 90s for the entire o-line and TEs pretty easily. In 09, I’m concentrating on getting Bennett’s run blocking rating way up so I can put him in as FB.

Another tip – in 08, anyway, you can train the same player up to 9 times in a season if you train them 4 times in preseason. The preseason drills don’t seem to count against the limit of 5 per season.

Also, my Xbox Live name is Geetch, but I don’t really play online.
