Burnett going under the knife, AGAIN!!!
Linebacker Kevin Burnett will return to Dallas to have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, according to two sources. The surgery is scheduled for Friday.Burnett's availability for the Sept. 7 season opener at Cleveland is in question. Normally, players miss three to four weeks to recover from a scope.
This will be at least Burnett's fifth surgery since coming to the Cowboys in 2005. He has had hip, ankle, shoulder and anterior cruciate ligament surgeries.

Burnett cant stay away from the operating room, atleast five surgeries since being drafted by the cowboys. A second round draft choice who was a converted safety in college to linebacker who finally started to show an ability to be a very good nickel linebacker but lost his chance to take over the starting role last year from Akin Ayodele because he just cant seem to shake the injury bug. He always seems to get nicked up at the absolute wrong time. Now, with him possibly missing the season opener and possiblty week two, Bobby carpenter will get his chance to show if he can be that nickel role player.

Hey Terry you listening?
This is exactly what I’ve been talking about. The very same reason he won’t be here beyond his contract. The guy has been injury plaqued his whole career. He can’t go a full year without some sort of injury.
He’s done beyond this year. At first, I thought maybe he would see the end of his contract, but I’m thinking now he’s going to be cut in the off season.
We will draft another ILB to back up Carpenter next April because it’s only a matter of time before he is the starter.
Look up... get up...Don't ever, ever give up!!
Carp won't start, he isn't physical enough
I’d rather have a 40 year old Thomas than him.
In Romo we Trust
What we thought was deep
is suddenly thin. This will definitely set Burnett back when he really needed the work.
Carp time. With his long arms and athleticism, he should be better in coverage than the other backups.
That #38 sure can hit!

This may force us to keep an extra LB
that Wade wasn’t planning on.
