I found our #2 WR to stretch the field.
Ideally, We'd all love to find a Lightening BOLT that can run some go routes, some post corners, maybe even a reverse or two.....Back in the days, The Cowboys were known to think outside the box and recruit athletes with little or no football experience, example: transitioning other position players into WR's, Safties, etc., baseball players, basketball players, track and field guys, etc....We hit big with Bob Hayes, we tried to pursued Carl Lewis, Ben Johnson was targeted......really....to some extend Jerry has the same thinking, bringing in ex college QB's Crayton, Stanback, Polk.....all with the common goal of finding an elite athlete with speed, strength, and versatility to become a playmaking WR for the Dallas Cowboys....
After thinking about the ideal speed threat we so desire...I decided to look into these guys running over in China right now.....You want a guy with refined physical attributes...Tall, lean, powerful, and of course stupid fast.....OK....I am not sure if this guy, or any of the guys have any dreams or aspirations to be a Calvin Johnson and reap the rewards of multi million dollar contracts playing in professional football.....maybe they make enough just doing the track thing....not sure....BUT, If I owned an NFL team....be damn sure, I'd be trying to sign this human rocket from Jamaica.....6'5" 210lbs+, strong, chiseled, athletic, freakish abilities, large hands, exceptional quickness for a man his size, and of course....THE FASTEST MAN IN THE WORLD. and it's not even close......

Could U imagine?!?!
His last name is so fitting!!!
Remember Renaldo “Skeets” Nehemiah (Niners) and Ron Brown (Rams/Raiders)? They were olympic sprinters, too.

how do you know this cat even wants to play football?
Being an incredible athlete is one thing, having the desire to excel and put in the hard work is another. He might hate physical contact which is the essense of football.
The Bob Hayeses of the world are very few and far between.

I don't know if he desires to play football.....Jamaica's not known as a "hotbed" for football prospects.....
Put in the hard work ???? Did you see the guy ?…work is all he knows….Less than a year ago, He didn’t even run in the 100 meter events….now he’s the record holder…He can actually pull up with 10 meters to go and wave his hands in the air, and still break his own world record….If he continued full stride he could’ve done a sub 9.6 100 meters…..make Bob Hayes look slow…He’s only 21 years old….plenty of time to learn the position…
Instead of sprints he runs drag, fly, corner, fade, and slant routes, and learns the game ???…wow…that’s hard work all right…can’t teach an elite runner how to run routes…eh ?
He might hate physical contact ????…the dude is built like a rock, and flys like the wind….I highly doubt some 5’10" 190lb. CB would intimidate him, or be able to jam him up………..Think a bigger, faster Calvin Johnson, without the experience….
I’m not saying this could or would happen…..Pro sprinters actually make a good living with endorsements and all…I’m just dreaming we had this guy in for a workout is all….IF I owned an NFL team, I’d give him 1 million just to try out…..

I think there's a big difference
between track work and football work and just because the guy is huge doesn’t mean he can handle contact. I knew a lot of big, ripped guys in my day that were pretty wimpy.

He could be the business
It would be worth it. I know there have been a couple of track guys in recent years who have worked out for NFL teams.
I know A Gates is a guy without a football background who made the transition to the NFL and became a star.

weak arguement you got going there Terry......like i've said....This is purely a speculatory scenario...
Track stars are much more devoted to year round training and conditioning, and competition than an NFL WR is……and I’m sure you wouldn’t be calling this guy a wimp if he was hovering and looking down at you…speed means power….and all I’ve seen of the guy is that he’s huge, TO esque as far as body mass goes…yet a few inches taller and twice as fast….
IF Jerry Jones or someone related to the pro personel department reads this……I’m just looking to spur interests is all….IF I was looking for a project to look at…IT would be THIS guy is all….6’ 5" and the fastest guy in the world………worth looking into is all…….

one thing bout football
you know quick if a guy can handle a hit or not, catchn a ball might help as well, you pretty much gotta grow up playn the game, or at least no somethin about it.
oh this is make believe, T.O. & Bolt unstoppable
50 minutes & counting

That would be a fun experiment
But Bolt is still young enough to be thinking about the 2012 Olympics. And he is just tapping into his potential. Usually when the NFL gets sprinters it’s when they are washed up, and Bolt can still dominate another Olympics so he’s far from done with track and field.
I do however think that he could be taught to play ball though.

well
if jason garrett’s dad thinks lowber should be in the nfl just b/c he’s fast he would have to love bolt.
it would be hilarious to sub in the qb with the stongest arm you could find, put him in the shotgun, slather bolt’s hands with stickum, put him in motion and see if anyone could get a hand on him and see what happened.
but realistically i think the top sprinters make tons of cash and unless he were paid first round draft pick type money it would be hard to lure him from the track.
remember when landry drafted carl lewis? gosh i miss those 12 round drafts.

lol...Tex and Landry sure liked to lay claim to phenominal athletes.. also drafted Pat Riley out of Kentucky.
track and field guys do make tons of cash, although it’s not perceived here in the states…It would take a 20 million plus contract to get a guy like Bolt to bite…..which i’d consider if I was in charge..
btw…his time in the 100 meters translates to running a 3.5 in the 40 yard dash….ouch

i'm not a big track fan at all
and dont know much about it.
but do know i have NEVER seen anyone win on that level by so much that they can shut down. and when he did shut it down, people didn’t really catch up with him.
i guess that means he has a top gear that no one can match and his cruising gear is still faster than the rest of the guys all out speed. one of the announcers thought h topped out at 30mph and the previous best was 27???
i guess thats like finding a guy who throws a 115 mph fast ball.
amazing.

depends
but… His 100 time doesn’t mean he runs the 40 in 3.5.
Another thing track stars do not make a lot of money, so it wouldn’t take 20 million to sign him.
I bet he do it for 5 million guaranteed.

Damn... Bolt (what a name) is fast
That was quite a sight to see. The human equivalent of a 6 speed Corvette. Something tells me he’s not done breaking records yet.

He doesn’t even look like he’s trying hard.

And his specialty is the 200 meters...
I thought Michael Johnson’s 19.32 in the 200 was virtually untouchable but with this guy anything looks possible…

Maybe Tony and WItten and BobbyC can go vacation in Jamaica this year and put together a little pickup game with Bolt. See what he’s got.
