Cut Bennett some slack

You guys are so hard on Martellus Bennett. He hasn't even been in the NFL for a year, let alone six months, and you guys are all ready to label this kid a bust. Y'all don't know much about Bennett other than what  y'all have seen on an hour TV show. Let me remind you that the producers film 300-400 hours of video time and condense it down to an hour. Yes he may have some struggles, but he's only played in one pre-season game. ONE! Give him some time to learn and he has the potential to be a good player.

make sure you tell him...

that he has not played a for a year let alone six months. I don’t care if they filmed 5 minutes or 5ooo hours he has no respect for his coaches and the fact that he has done nothing to earn that money Jerry has invested in him. I have seen enough he is a bust and if I was the Cowboys I would never draft another Aggie if they did not tell them how the real Martellus is.

jerry

you seem worried that “he has done nothing to earn the $ jerry ‘invested’ in him” well, jerry picked a guy he knew had a bad attitude. he drafted a guy he knew didnt work hard. jerry didn’t invest. jerry wasted. a lot of this is bennett’s fault. but its a lot of jerry’s fault too. don’t feel bad for jerry. if you draft a guy who you identify as having a bad attitude you better have a plan to change that attitude. those things rarely self correct.

its like hiring a guy from a prison work program then freaking out bc he has a criminal record. stupid is as stupid does. and jerry can be really stupid.

+1 Tom....M Bennett is going to be a star on this team....

write it down………

A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.

"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

I like the fact he screamed on Bartel, he wants the rock..

I heard about that

but don’t remember seeing it. What happened?

That #38 sure should wrap up!

As the Offense

was leaving the field after third down, Bennett turned and said something to Bartel. From what I saw, the conversation lasted maybe five seconds, and it didn’t look animated, much less like Bennett was screaming.

No big deal, but because everybody is hyperventilating over Bennett, it’s getting blown out of proportion.

Thanks

I remember seeing Bartel all amped up about something (he looked to be “feeling” it last night).

The Bennett thing may not seem a big deal to you, but I’m sure his position coach and those dudes who sign his checks like to see passion from the guy that Hard Knocks has featured as this team’s slacker.

thats my thinking

It could be a sign he starting to pick up on the offense..

Only time will tell..

thanks for saying what needed to be said

Guys need to chill regarding Bennett, he’s still young and immature, the light will go on eventually.
