Before we push panic button on first team Defense
Take a look at this article from the DMN.
http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2008/08/stewart-got-emails-about-the-blitz.html
It seems after the preseason game against Denver last year, Stewart got emails from offensive coordinators all around the league telling him he broke some 'preseason code of conduct' by blitzing so much. I'd be willing to bet that was in the back of his mind this game, and explains why in Grizz's evaluation he says we got no pressure.
So tell me BTB nation, if we are actually blitzing the Broncos, does Cutler have the time to tear our secondary to shreds?
Blitzing = pressure on the QB. That means the secondary plays better. That means the entire defense plays better. That means forcing the QB into possible mistakes.
Don't put too much into games where the playcalling and game planning are so vanilla.
We'll be fine.

Good point
Plus we are missing TNew, Burnett, Spencer, and Canty most of that game. I wasn’t worried about it too much, but the Broncos were running the ball better than they should have been.
Seemed like a lot of missed tackles on the RB’s to me.

Good point
Stopping the run should be a priority if we aren’t blitzing much this preseason.
That #38 sure should wrap up!

It's really only the stupid penalties
that have me worried. I know they are not all jacked up and that they are being pretty vanilla. But those drive extending penalties have got to stop.

Way too many hankies thrown last night, same as 1st game.

not to mention that the team wasn't into this game
you could tell they were dragging after 3 long weeks of camp. I think they’ll come out refreshed in the Houston game this Friday.

If there was a game
Denver gained a lot of confidence from practicing against us during the week. You don’t get that luxury during the regular season..
