That whole tirade sounded a little fake.
He was really reaching for words, thats the kind of speech where the players try to hold in their laughter.
I still like Stewart though. I just think he sounded a little aware of the camera.

that was my take as well Glory....
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.
"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

Looks like they're too late to feature Spencer.
According to DMN he’s out 2-4 weeks with a knee injury now.

Well after this episode we know why Romo was overthrowing his passes
and why Brad Johnson could throw more than a check down last game. It was because of the thin air.

Impressions
Here’s some thoughts on watching it (twice)…
I’m glad that Romo has been a relatively minor part of the show so far, but I like the face time he got in this episode. I just like the guy’s personality and attitude, having fun at the game yet being a total professional. I think he’s the perfect guy for this job, which is actually the highest profile job in professional sports. I have huge confidence in Romo at the helm of this team. He is going to seriously light it up this year.
Quotables:
“Guy’s been a bum the whole camp.” – Reggie Herring (There’s only 2 or 3 LBs he could be talking about.)
“I’ll run right by your crazy ass.” – Miles
“Now what the f*** did you do?” – Pacman imitating what his mama would say to him about his performance in San Diego
“I didn’t really have an opportunity to have any good kill shots, but if I have one I’m going to go ahead and take it. I want to decleat somebody.” — Roy (the attitude we love to hear)
“I hope some of you all took your all anger management classes this morning.” — TO
Scenes we’ve read about that we get a closer look at:
- Pacman letter – sounded well written, sure hope it works
- Adams swinging a Broncos helmet – that was a pretty good scrum
- Ellis pep talk – “Lock into what you supposed to do, don’t worry about nothing else.”
- Miles MRI – they said grade 3 sprain, even worse than we thought – could be more on the 6 end of 4-6 weeks
Things I love to see:
- Ware as a father
- TO being a mentor to the younger receivers
- Sam Hurd’s focus and work ethic
- Wade being tough and demanding
- Lowber’s technique and confidence improving
- Isolation and mic on Tellus – “I just made a tackle!” And broke one, and made some good blocks
- All the different angles in the game on the players whose stories they’re following
Some funny things:
- Roy and TO’s sunglasses
- Roy sneaking into TO’s room again (unsuccessfully)
- Roy’s reaction to not being able to hit in practice
- Pacman’s imagined phone call from his mother
Storylines that got nicely advanced in the Broncos game
- Miles – the best and the worst
- Tellus
- Danny
- Keon
- Todd
The whole Tellus story? I read Barry Horn at DMN and he describes Tellus as a “petulant child” for the shirt tucking scene, and mocks him for describing himself as “one of the best [college] players in the country.” I’m sure there’s going to be more Tellus bashing after this episode, but overall I just don’t see it as that big a deal. I mean, the biggest problem they could find to show is him not wanting to tuck his shirt in at practice? It seems like Garrett and he aren’t exactly on the same wavelength sometimes, but I think their relationship will grow as they get used to working with each other and Tellus continues to improve. And he’s a first day draft pick, that is kind of the definition of being considered one of the best players in the country, and he’s actually not saying it boastfully, right after than he acknowledges that he “struggle(s) a little bit” and what he needs to do to improve. And it shows. He’s earning praise. Ultimately it comes down to what he does on the field, and he did look pretty good in that game.

Best quote
Adam to Campo " Hey, the lineman say they wanna have a midget tossing contest to see how far they can throw you…."

I was surprised at the end when they said it was a Grade III… that is a complete rupture… they usually let it scar down and that means no surgery… that sux!!

on talkingcowboys this morning
Spags was saying Oxnard is flat and there are no hills around like that, so it must have been taken before training camp near one of their homes. It didn’t look like TO though.

that's what I thought too
And in the video I noticed numbers on the guys shoe, so I froze the video and the number is 91, it looked like it was written on a piece of tape and placed on the shoe.
I first thought it was crayton

Remember a couple years ago
Ladoucer was a godsend because Dallas couldn’t find a good enough snapper for Martin to hit that field goal against Oakland and Larry Allen got all pissed?
So glad LP is here. Maybe Romo oughta invite him on vacation like Aikman used to hang out with Hellastrae.
