According to the DMN blog

Pacman is not playing tonight.

That was a little nifty...

Amendola was open, too bad the blitz got in Bartel’s face.

Haha

From the Broncos blog re: Holland trade:

Coming from his sister in law… I’d like to say to the Broncos you just traded one of your best players. Too bad for you and Yippeeee to the Cowboys. Love ya bro. See you soon.

That sums it up.

Unfortunately, I don’t think he has that kind of motor.

that means he is thinking too much

nicknames

I agree with whoever said this on the broadcast… Pit Bull has a bad connotation in football.

I like Cricket just fine, it has a good backstory and it is ironic.

nice play

that was enough to get in range for a 52 yarder…

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:23 PM CDT reply actions

Good!

from 52 yards, Folkin-A

that was 50 second drive.

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:23 PM CDT reply actions

they did screw up on the clock management there

that was a coaching mistake.

but it worked out okay they still executed what they needed to.

First half thoughts:

Sam Hurd: Have to see how bad it is. The good news is that these injuries won’t last long. Problem is, coming in as a FA wide reciever off the street isn’t all that easy. We would just need someone for depth.

Bartel. Almost threw a pick, other than that made some okay decisions, and moved the balls.

WR’s: Danny A and Jefferson looked pretty good. Amendola looks pretty good returning punts.

ST: Great coverage tonight, and McBriar is a beast.

Choice is money.. and why the blank was Hurd out there?

Forgot him...

Bennett: Some confusion with him on a couple of plays, but who knows who was at fault when he and the RB ran the same route next to each other. Other than that he looked pretty good. Used his frame to shield the defender on the pass and made some good grabs.

yo what's up boys

just got here but have been watching the game.. Hard to see any detail viewing online but Bartel looks pretty good eh?

Skins

WAS losing to JAC 24 to 3 in the 4th quarter… and they were going to be playing their starters! ouch

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:34 PM CDT reply actions

Roommate's got a friend who plays receiver for Baylor

So we’re watching THAT instead… kill me.
Who’s looking good?

Bartel looks good
Choice making some good runs, TD
Amendola decent punt returns and making a couple catches
Tellus getting some catches, getting open
Tyson Smith gets INT

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:37 PM CDT up reply actions

oh man

they had him totally for a loss and lost him for a long gain

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:40 PM CDT reply actions

I look for Carp to lead us in tackles again tonight

Too bad they are all going to be at least 8 yards down the field.

Watkins

from DMN blog

Pat Watkins might have suffered a stinger. He has range of motion in his right arm and appeared to tell athletic trainer Jim Maurer that he was OK.

wow

t george is gettin crazy!

by sublimezg on Aug 28, 2008 8:56 PM CDT reply actions

10 men

wasn’t walden the one on hard knocks that wasn’t out on the field when he was supposed to be and forced Wade to run out onto the field to call a timeout?

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 8:58 PM CDT up reply actions

oh okay

i thought i heard someone say his name there

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 9:04 PM CDT up reply actions

BTW it was Walden

It was a defensive play so it definitely wasn’t Lowber. But you can hear Stewart say Walden, and then Carp is scolding 53 “you gotta be on it dude”

two more preseason games and we might not have any receivers

one per game, last 3 games… damn

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 9:19 PM CDT up reply actions

this isn’t good for building my confidence in the backup oline

no wonder they got holland

by scottmaui on Aug 28, 2008 9:19 PM CDT reply actions

I know he's under a ton of pressure,

but Bartel needs to get rid of the ball faster.

by Mandmeisterx on Aug 28, 2008 9:19 PM CDT reply actions

I wonder who the better receiver is

Tnew or Pac.. It’s almost time to find out
