Chad Jackson an option?
I Really Liked this guy coming out of Florida. If I remember correctly , he flashed 4.3 speed at the combine. I believe he's over 6', too.
I'm stunned he got released. I realize he's coming off (I believe) an ACL injury, but there's obviously something more I don't know about.
Coming out of college, he was sort of like a combination of Austin, Stanback & Hurd: very fast, good hands and decent size.
I sure wouldn't mind the Cowboys taking a look at this guy. What do you guys think?

I don't know much about the guy
but his youth and college resume make him interesting, at least for a look.

I was looking at a Patriots board the other day
and supposedly he just got caught up in the numbers game, and was actually coming on strong towards the end of preseason. A lot of them were sad to see him go considering all of his untapped potential.

Injury problems the first couple of years
his work ethic also isn’t that great. But mostly he got caught in the numbers game. Belichick likes to keep players who can contribute now.

he's better and more polished than Jefferson and Amendola....
why we wouldn’t look into the kid is beyond me…

i agree
but if he was then he wouldn’t have been cut, giving us a chance to dust him off, and see if we can tap his potential..
i would rather seem holding a roster spot, especially so he can return kicks instead of el gato..

I thought the Pats had 2 first rd picks in 2006
and used one on Maroney and the other on Jackson.

To be fair...
He’s been hurt quite a bit…
And breaking through the threesome of Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth, and Wes Welker last year wasn’t exactly an easy task…

I wasnt talking about last yr
I was talking about his rookie yr. when he had to beat out Reche Caldwell, Troy Brown or Jabar Gaffney and couldnt do it. He got in 12 games that yr and caught 13 passes not what I would call a good rookie season when your competition is Jabar Gaffney…..The reason they went out and got Moss, Stallworth and Welker was the talent at WR, He stinks and has a bad attitude not a good combination…………..Let the Raiders have him I like what we have much more than a Former Gator WR……As much as I hate the Pats I give them credit when it comes to evaluating talent and if they can get rid of a 2nd rd pick which they traded up to get in just two yrs there more wrong with him than we know……

yeah what the hell is Bill's fascination with Florida WR's??
they suck……Caldwell, Gaffney, Jackson……Gaffney was a hell of a stud in college too…..

Good thought, but
We’d have to spend the time and effort to polish Jackson into a guy who is ready…I’d much rather find a stop gap replacement while we get healthy. I think Samie Parker fits better.

Really?
1) He’s not 100% healthy, but neither is anyone else we have
2) Sucks? Compared to whom?
