Ugh...once again...

Bad choices of games. Rams/Gints or Vikings/Indy.

Hopefully I can see AP run all over the place.

Josh Brown

I cut him for Rackers this week, but he just nailed a 54 yarder.

No.

His team pulled it off…he tried to give it away. He’s not that good. Now, hush.

He's not good anymore?

The guy didnt take a single preseason snap, is recovering from knee surgery and basically had a rookie offensive line against a dominant D-Line.
I think you’ll be eating those words by the end of the season.

he can’t get seperation – can’t catch the ball – he got 4 catches this year WOW

Wow

that Colts TD was something. Gonzales catches it long then pitches it to Wayne who takes it in.

Actually maybe short a TD, being challenged…

(So in fantasy terms, does Gonzales get the yards to the pitch, and Wayne gets the last few yards and the TD? If the TD counts…)

but i wonder if he’ll get credit for those like 10 yards at the end

The Chiefs

Now have their WR playing quarterback…..so much Dwayne Bowe having a monster game for me.

And Torry Holt just had an AMAZING catch for a TD.

The refereeing in this league is attrociously inconsistent..

The Rams just got screwed big time by a non-call on offensive pass-interference. Hixon BLATANTLY pushed off the defender, but noooo….no call.

I think Mike Pereira needs to sit and take a good long look at how they handle officiating in this league.

by Brandon Worley on Sep 14, 2008 2:39 PM CDT reply actions

24 points in the 4th quarter? 82 points given up through 2 games… 34 of those to Atlanta!

Nope, wasn't on TV, but you can tell from the stats

Lions Defense gave up 474 yards last week to the Falcons and 447 yards this week to the Packers. I’m pretty sure that means they’re bad.

by hiafex on Sep 14, 2008 3:31 PM CDT up reply actions

Two of those scores in the 4th

were int returns by GB so it’s actually not on the Lions D.

by Billito on Sep 14, 2008 4:01 PM CDT up reply actions

My point still stands

Giving up 460 yards/game means your defense is not good. Thanks for pointing out the reasons for 14 of the 24 points given up in the 3rd.

by hiafex on Sep 14, 2008 4:07 PM CDT up reply actions

no, it doesn't
24 points in the 4th quarter

2 off of int returns, the 3rd TD was off a turnover as well. 3 pts from GB driving down in that quarter…

My point was the Lions defense sucks

I don’t know how you could possibly defend them. So my point does still stand.

by hiafex on Sep 14, 2008 4:51 PM CDT up reply actions

no it wasn't

you brought up the fact they scored 24 pts against the Lions D…just correcting you there.

by Longhorn on Sep 14, 2008 5:54 PM CDT up reply actions

Ahhh, thanks I guess

Billito had already corrected me though. I’ve changed from talking about points scored to yards given up which is a better and more accurate display of a defenses ability to stop the opposing offense. From that, I’ve conclude that the Lions defense… sucks.

by hiafex on Sep 14, 2008 6:11 PM CDT up reply actions

Can't argue that

did you see the highlights when Lions fans were giving their team the finger and throwing jerseys onto the field after the game? Gosh, I’m no billionaire owner but maybe Millen needs to be shown the door.

by Billito on Sep 14, 2008 7:37 PM CDT up reply actions

LOL

I can’t understand how Millen is still employed there. The owner but be more senile than Al Davis.

Lions suck, there’s no way Roy W. wouldn’t come to Dallas next year. I don’t think the Lions can franchise him, he’s not even their top WR.

How does Millen have a job? Why are they trusting Kitna? Their offensive talent is wasting away..

Philosopher is loving Ed Hochuli right now

He has both Cutler and Royal against me (and I have SD defense), and that bad call on the Cutler fumble followed by the TD and 2-pt conversion both to Royal was worth a net of like 18.5 points between us. ugh.

by scottmaui on Sep 14, 2008 6:39 PM CDT reply actions

Bad, bad call

Yeah, that does suck for you man. I hate the NFL refs, I complain about them all the time, It is STUPID that a wrong call cannot be overturned just because a ref blew the whistle. That needs to be changed.

The officiating has been exceptionally bad this year and we are only in Week Two.

I started Royal over Santant Moss and Moss had a HUGE game. Without those points, I would be hurting bad right now.

by Philosopher on Sep 14, 2008 8:29 PM CDT up reply actions

the worst refing i've ever seen......

it’s almost like they were cheating….the ref’s cost sd a game….the league should start handing out fines and suspentions for this crap…..

by scottmaui on Sep 14, 2008 6:48 PM CDT up reply actions

Was that not horrible?

How many years since the “Tuck” game, and the league still hasn’t fixed that problem? SD got screwed.

The stillers look very avg

the browns and the stillers have played to a standstill. I thought that the stillers would have rolled over the browns. I know the weather is less than ideal but come on; no offense from a team that pasted the Texans. This leads me to believe the stillers are not that good and the texans could be worse than everyone thought.

by cowboy78 on Sep 14, 2008 8:07 PM CDT reply actions

8 punts so far. yawn

it’s hard to tell how much the wind has to do with it, but it could be a significant factor, so hard to judge the Steelers too much on this, but it is an uninspiring performance for both teams offensively.

by scottmaui on Sep 14, 2008 8:10 PM CDT up reply actions

This game so far

shows that dallas was up against a decent defense, because the stillers would not be this flaccid against a team that is a higher caliber than the rams.

by cowboy78 on Sep 14, 2008 8:23 PM CDT reply actions

My Sunday Realization

After Brady going down and Indy finally showing signs of weakness in their offense, We unquestionably have the best Offense in the NFL in terms of talent and potential. Thats one hell of a roster Jerry Jones put together this year and its better than anyone else’s by miles right now. The part is not the performing part. I hope every one is ready to perform. The Packers are the closest thing to a complete team next to us in the NFC, but we are better in every way. The Giants got lucky last year. Its almost impossible to beat the same NFL team three times in a row in a season if they are half decent. That shouldnt be a problem this year. Arizona has a nice offense. Their defense though doesnt measure up. Well as for the Eagles, We will see tomorrow night…

Which coach gets fired first?

Linehan – Rams
or
Crennel – Browns

(I would’ve thrown the guy from the Raiders in the mix, but they actually won today.)

I would pick the guy from the feckless Rams, if I were to actually wager on it.

I say Linehan

but they are both up against it, they are dealing with some key injuries..
