Actually Romo is playing pretty good

He just needs to quit making stupid mistakes.

Ok, I just read my reply and realized that it sounded really retarded

What I meant is that if he didn’t make those 2 stupid mistakes, it would be a totally different game right now.

Besides Being a Wild Game

We’ve had almost 900 posts…and it’s still half time!

If We Can Play This Awful

And only be down six at the half, I feel good about the outcome.

by kindablue on Sep 15, 2008 9:24 PM CDT reply actions

yeah

let’s show we can spot them 2 TDs in mistakes and bad reffing and still pull out a win!

by scottmaui on Sep 15, 2008 9:24 PM CDT up reply actions

That's what I'm saying

If ROmo and co can calm down, we can do this. We need some serious defensive adjustments but our O is doing okay just no more boneheaded plays.

by Billito on Sep 15, 2008 9:25 PM CDT up reply actions

Yes

For some reason Romo looks panicked at home against the Eagles…I thought he had gotten over it. Apparently not.

Deep breaths, Tony, deep breaths.

by kindablue on Sep 15, 2008 9:26 PM CDT up reply actions

real quick...

my roommates r taking shots and i only have a few seconds to speak. first of all, great play by the offense minus romo. romos not playing bad, i just feel he needs to take a big breath in and sit in the pocket and LOOK. the eagles arent blitzing NEARLY as hard as anyone expected and I think he’s thrown off by that. having said that, the eagles r gona blitz like CRAZY in the 2nd. jim johnson is that kind of ahole. defense needs to step up and cover those medium distance routes a little better. and i hate to to beat a dead horse but desean jackson is the reason that no one can ever talk smack about TO again. GO BOYS. lets PRAYYYYYYYYYYY for a better 2nd half. I’ll check in late night…

by AikmanNailedMySis on Sep 15, 2008 9:24 PM CDT reply actions

we're in great shape

if we stop turning the ball over

In Romo we Trust

by Terry on Sep 15, 2008 9:25 PM CDT reply actions

We're beating ourselves

What the hell is up with all the bonehead plays? How on earth do you leave Roy Williams in there to cover DJax deep??!?!?!?

I love Romo but HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL!!!! From what I’ve seen we’ve at least had a few sustained drives where Eagles couldn’t stop us. We’ve held the Eagles to 3 FG’s, so the D isn’t a complete disaster.

I think we’ve got a couple more TD’s in us and Eagles are head to a couple of more FG’s in the second half.

by BLUE_Thru-n-Thru on Sep 15, 2008 9:25 PM CDT reply actions

Cant get on the coverage TOO bad

THere have been some blown coverages here and there. BUt alot of that is McNabb having all friggin day in the pocket at times

by WB3forMB3 on Sep 15, 2008 9:26 PM CDT reply actions

yeah, can't really blame the DBs

when he has so long, need to send more to get pressure

by scottmaui on Sep 15, 2008 9:27 PM CDT up reply actions

Why do games like this always happen against NFC East opponents? We always beat ourselves.

If Romo is an elite quarterback he will find a way to win this game.

by Barrett14 on Sep 15, 2008 9:26 PM CDT reply actions

Oh Lord

This is coming down to a FG, I just know it.

The defense need to get some turnovers for Dallas.

Romo needs to stop with the mental mistakes. The endzone fumble was a horrible, horrible play. Just knock it out of the endzone for a safety.

Proctor, GD it, why did you do that. That was another game changing play.

Philthy has made one huge mistake, which we didn’t capitalize on, damn I wish Pac would have picked up that Jackson fumble. Another game changing play.

Enough with the damn turnovers, Romo.

even if he had

I think it would be one of those “inadvertant whistle” calls and they wouldn’t be able to overturn it. That’s why he said “by rule” it is placed at the 1, I think

by scottmaui on Sep 15, 2008 9:29 PM CDT up reply actions

it was a fumble

by rule they had to put it at the 1 because the cowgirls didn’t have the brains to pick up the football………….especially the guys watching him from behind who should have noticed it before the refs did.

there is a different rule for rb/wr and qb. if the cowboys picked the ball up it would have been there ball.

We might lose this game, but to be honest, I’d rather lose a few games now and peak in the playoffs instead of peaking early in the season and faltering late / going one and done in the playoffs.
