Its time to pay the piper!!!

Well, Well, Well, I have no fingernails left. I dont' think we lost that game on the fumble, I think that Dallas was gonna work those TEs at the end regardless.

I am a man of my word, I will put my money where my mouth is. I promised everyone that I will come in the next morning and say how GREAT the Cowboys are. And they are Great.

I still hate the stinking Cowboys, but I will have to RESPECT the Cowboys Authority. Here it goes: (clearing my throte)

"The Cowboys are the Greatest team in the History of the NFL. The Philadelphia Eagles Suck, and should be ashamed of them selves. Dallas is a true Champion and we are just posers"

OK there is goes, I hope you are happy now. I didn't mean a single word of it, but I had to pay up my end of the bet....

Eagles Played Well

Heck of a game.

Not to worry about the bet thing too much. Don’t expect too much razzing from us Cowboys fans. Most of us are a little more mature than that.

Man of your word

I can only imagine how disgusted you felt in the final seconds knowing you would have come on here and pay up. But pay up you did, and in good humor at that. Dignity retained and some respect garnered. I think Grizz outta give you a big hattip.
Well done Yo.

"So you can’t stiff arm at all? What about the throat?"- Marion "Barbarian" Barber

by DC_fan on Sep 16, 2008 9:43 AM CDT up reply actions

Yo, you know what made it more awkward

I had Marion Barber on my Fantasy football team, with Jason Witten. The dude I was playing had Westbrook and Philly Defense. I was rooting for the birds and still getting fantasy points.

I was in a bind (That is why I had Fantasy football), it makes you think wrong.

haha, i hear ya

I have McNabb, Westbrook AND LJ Smith. Don’t know how or why that happened except that value feel to far to pass up. Except Smith, i should drop that bum. Way to man up phillybro! Just do everyone a favor and lay the smack down on the Gnats.

by YoGurt on Sep 16, 2008 9:23 PM CDT up reply actions

too funny

i benched McNabb and LJ Smith this week on my team…
played Rivers and Winslow so i did well, but i had to bench the Eagles so i was not torn..

Way to Man Up, Yo!

You’re truly a class act, sir.

But your Eagles are definitely back. With a truly healthy McNabb, the drafting of D. Jackson, and the signing of A. Samuel — all added to one of the best O-lines, Defenses, and Running Backs (B. Westbrook) in the NFL — Philly is among the NFL’s elite.

props do yophillybro

great to see rabid fans keep their word about something like this…… good for you man..

now, i just would really like to see Philly go out and play the Giants and Skins as tough… to me it SEEMS like they play like champs aginst us (win or lose) then go out and lay an egg against the Giants and or Skins, when we Cowboy fans are needing the Giants or Skins to lose the game..

GREAT game, NOT looking forward to going to Philly last game of season if something is on the line….

by stephena on Sep 16, 2008 9:05 AM CDT reply actions

Well done, sir.

Although, if the Cowboys had lost, I wouldn’t have felt bad about having to do what you’re doing. I don’t see who you can be mad about losing a game like that on the road.

Unfortunately, we have to play GB while you guys get Chicago. And you get Atlanta instead of TB. I think the Eagles showed, every win is going to matter, and the difference in schedule could make a big difference.

by GhettoBear04 on Sep 16, 2008 9:44 AM CDT reply actions

Hey somebody had to win, somebody had to lose

I am not upset at the lost. I don’t think this game was that important. We were gonna split regardless. And Philly needs to keep focused and not get full of them selfs. It would have set us up for a let down in Pit next week. I think they will have something to prove now. I feel sorry for the Steelers next week. They are gonna have all of the frustration from yesterday taken out on them. If we would have won, we may have taken Pit lightly.

I agree that every game will matter, but I think our 6 games in the divison will be telling. After this week, NFC East teams are 6-2. Both losses coming within the Beast. Last night and the Skins to the Giants. If you really think about it, a handfull of plays can decide the difference between either of us being 5-1 in the division or 1-5. You guys matchup well against GB, we matchup well against Chicago. I wouldn’t be worried about TB either. God knows who’ll l and on the QB roulette table that day for Gruden. Stop their running game and they’re done.

by foos05 on Sep 16, 2008 10:05 AM CDT up reply actions

Yep

You are correct.

And I actually don’t think either us or you guys will have trouble with the Giants. Considering their soft schedule, they may have a good record. And they may be better than I think. But right now, the top three teams in the NFC that are the real deal are the Cowboys, Eagles, and Packers.

by Philosopher on Sep 16, 2008 11:13 AM CDT up reply actions

Two keys to the Giants… and this is not a surprise.

1) Protect your QB. This has been made a little easier with the retirement of Strahan and Osi out. If you keep you QB on their feet (especially if their name is McNabb or Romo) they will have a field day with the Giants lack of secondary. The only reason the Giants were able to cover up their secondary last year was how fast they disrupted or sacked the QB. I don’t see that being a hung problem for either of us (as long as Winston Justice isn’t in the game).

2) Get in Eli’s head. Yeah great, he had a nice run at the end of the year last year. But, I need to see it a little more to believe he isn’t the same Elisha Manning that Brian Dawkins burried in his first preseaon game. Get in his head, move his feet and he’s either goin down or tossin up lame ducks to our awaiting Pro Bowl secondaries.

Sounds simple. Can we execute? That’ll be the test. The big key is keeping McNabb and Romo upright… Most definitely.

love the avatar yophillybro!

It looks looks so much better than your Eagles one. ;) Way to man up and honor your bet.

The Eagles have a great team and it looks like we’ll be playing each other a few more times this year.

You can have the one in December, I want the one in January.

In Romo we Trust

Way to man up

You are one of the cool Philly fans, well done sir.

Your team is tough, I know you lost, but you can’t feel to bad about Philly’s chances. I think you guys will beat the Midgets (tough team) and Foreskins (easily). IMO

It kills me to say it but McFlabb looked like his old self, tough to bring down and able to throw the deep pass when he wants to.
