It's all about the hype
Yea, I know guys, this loss sucked. We are angry at JG, Romo, Wade and everyone related to the defense. The thing to remember is that this Cowboys team has been over-analyzed, over-hyped and over-scrutinized since early August.
This is one hell of a team, with so many weapons on offense and defense and a ton of marquee players. This raises our expectations and a loss like this makes us all crazy. It doesn't help that everyone in the media goes into overdrive after a loss like this and jumps up on their "I told you the Cowboys were frauds!" pedestal, just itching to see them fail.
Take a look at Matt Mosely's column - the guy who once wrote for the DMN seems almost giddy in picking the Cowboys apart. He calls out Tank Johnson, sings the praises of Jim Zorn and calls the boys the "Sultans of September", a backhanded compliment if ever there was one.
Last time I checked, the Eagles lost to the Bears. The Packers lost to the Bucs and the Pats got blown out by the Dolphins. Welcome to the era of parity, the Cowboys are no different.
This loss was painful because it was the dreaded Redskins but the Cowboys are 3-1 with a lot of season left. Don't get crazy and call for an overhaul of the team. Everyone knows they crapped the bed and will work to fix it. This is one hell of a team and what better cure for a painful loss than the Bungles this Sunday.
Enjoy the ride and don't let one loss ruin your week, I GUARANTEE this team gets it's sh*t together and gives us some postseason fireworks.

Good post
There is so much hype and bullsh*t put out by some of the MSM it is ridiculous. I’m really pretty irritated by the whole “TO controversy.” TO was asked questions in a way that almost guarantees a sound bite that they can use to create drama and then the thing is all blown out of proportion. I get that the Cowboys can bring tons of ratings and will bring people to your website, TV station, etc, but when you manufacture/encourage/exagerate stories that are negative/destructive it really pisses me off.

Yeah, so much of the "hype" is generated by the MSM
they blow things out of proportion and they will say anything they can about the cowboys simply because it attracts attention. That’s what pissed me off about Mosely – instead of just saying that the skins outplayed the cowboys, he goes on about how Tank johnson is a bad team leader, To is selfish etc.
Let’s hope this gives the boys extra motivation to shut the haters up.

I think someone said it yesterday
But at this rate, we’ll be 12-4…is anyone unhappy with that?

It doesn't work that way.
At this rate, playing like they played last Sunday, they’ll be 8-8. Or are you saying that Tennessee will be 16-0 this season?

Man,
I just hope that the players and coaches are taking this loss as hard as I am. I’d like to see them play one complete game, and then I’ll simmer down.

i take a different stance...
this loss might be a blessing in the skies…so we dont get big headed like last year, plus if we ended up 10-0 all the undefeated talk couldv’e drained this team heading into the playoffs…this also gives us tape to evalute our weaknesses and work on them for the rest of the season….I just think this will make us an even stronger team come playoffs

My question is
where are all the team leaders coming out and saying “its just a loss, TO’s comments were in the heat of the moment, we’ll be fine.” The MSM is just taking this and running with it to the point of ridiculousness. My yahoo homepage is all about Tank “losing his cool” and TO “blowing up”. Seriously? The final day of baseball and the crazy OT win last night aren’t bigger news than this?
Suck it MSM and learn how to report fresh news.

One other thing
I don’t understand is why everyone is making such a big deal about the loss……Its a rivalry game, rivalry games are like this all the time. Why aren’t we hearing about how the Chiefs beat the Broncos? Are the Chiefs anywhere close to the team that the Broncos are? No way. The week before, the Raiders almost pulled off a win against the Chargers, the Raiders are nowhere near the level of team that the Chargers are. Teams have bad games.
The one thing I’m worried about is the coaching of the defense, I think the only reason people are gonna put up the points that Washington and Philly put up is because we were outcoached. We have the talent, it needs to be put to use.
Super Bowl party at my place, Dallas vs. ?, who's in?

+1
What about the TD Greg Olsen caught vs Philly that Andy Reid didn’t challenge? IMO he was out of bounds, could have changed the whole game..
Rivalry game vs Playoff team..
So many media personalities and fans hate the cowboys..
