Does this look familar? 13 carries for 45 yards 3.5 ypc
Blogging the Boys favorite Julian Jones put up his usual numbers for the Seahawks today, and this is with a long of 24 yard.... that means on 12 of those carries he averaged 1.75 yards. Whatever Parcells did to this guy, he sure did it well.
I will take El Gato's 9 carries for 62 yards at 6.9 yards per clip,or T. Choice's 5 carries for 26 yards, a 5.2 yards per carrie average.
To steal a phrase from Grizz.... a hat tip to the offensive line, well, for being offensive. The right side really seems to be dominant in the rushing game, the left... well they were ok. But we knew that. I would be interested in what exactly the reason is for that, but I will sleep well tonight regardless.
Good Job fellas.
Edit:
Came accross this on footballoutsiders
True to his 2007 numbers, the only thing Julius Jones appears to be good at is catching the ball out of the backfield. The one long run he got off in this game was a 24-yarder with six minutes left in the game, and that was because the Bills were running that weird “Moving Cow” defense where the front four is milling around instead of setting, and safety Donte Whitner was essentially a defensive tackle. Other than that, he doesn’t look like he could bust a wet paper towel.

It was really nice to see MB3 toting the load
And not having to watch us essentially lose a down everytime JJ touched the ball. Seriously, it seemed like he fell down anytime a defender even looked at him. Good luck Seattle.

That Was His Main Problem
His vision was terrible, he looked like he was panicking when he had the ball. Felix looks much better in his first game than did Julius.
The thing with that game was,
if not for two “long” runs in garbage time, he would have been averaging about .5 per carry. In the fourth quarter, he still had negative yardage.
Seahags play badly on the road
They got thoroughly whipped in all phases. But yeah, JuJo was no help. I think BP ruined him. IMO

Well I don't know about that
But he was a different RB his rookie year, until he became…RoboRB.

never heard of coach ruining an RB
No excuses the guy just isn’t an NFL running back, but he got bad well before everyone figured it out.

Well...
…JuJo may get his chance in week #2. Starter Mo Morris sustained a knee injury in the 3rd qtr of yesterday’s loss to Buffalo.
Let’s see how he does next week as the primary ball carrier against the San Francisco 3-4 defense.

I was at JuJo's first game
Ironically against the Browns on Sept.16th 2004 in Dallas.
I must admit that Felix looked alot better in his debut!

Jaws had a great comment
“It isn’t the overall rushing average, it is the percentage of times a runner rushes for over 4 yards”.
That is the perfect critique of JuJo. And one I was never able to articulate when arguing with homers pointing out he had 2 of the 5 biggest rushing days in Cowboys history.
RoboRB was his best style
JuJo Strengths: Hits hole hard, runs fast to the 2nd level, elusive in open field
JuJo Weaknesses: Can not break the weakest arm tackle, No vision, indecisive in the backfield
Taking into accounts his strengths and weaknesses, the best way to manage JuJo is to tell him where to go. Make him run where the play is designed to create a hole and let him hit that hole fast. That is where he is at his best (assuming nobody gets a hand on him and knocks him down). He is at his worst dancing around the backfield trying to find a hole to run to.
