Iggles Dominant?
I have a question that I know we will be going over and over until monday night. Are the iggles really good or the rams just really bad? I was thinking about the rams and for the life of me cannot remeber them being a good defensive team. So I went to Football outsiders and pulled up their "Just the Stats" tab and looked up team defensive stats for the league for 2004-2007 and they have ranked from 26th - 29th overall defensively. I do not remember anyone touting their D this year as an area of improvement; but I heard plenty about their O going to be healthy and that they should improve. I think that the rams had a subpar D and the O could not help out. Does that mean that the iggles will suck next week? No, but I do not believe that their current performance will be repeated against Dallas.
1. The iggles were at home and made good plays against a team that did not show a lot of effort in any phase of the game; the rams looked completely flat.
2. If there are concerns about the D of Dallas not being able to get "sufficient" pressure against the Browns, remember that last year the Browns O-line only gave up 10 sacks last year; they have a very good line; and the D kept that line from establishing any real running game.
3. The availability of the Barbarian will present an interesting challenge to the Boys against the blitz happy iggles; but I have faitht that the redball will have a plan. The team looked very sharp on O and looks up to the challenge of plug and play with who they have; so I do not think they will despair. The barbarian injury could lull the iggles into a false sense of security if he is not able to play.
4. Newman should be back and will help out pacman; who will continue to improve as the season progresses.
I know there are more points to add: please discuss and add points to what you feel will be important for next week.

I guess we'll find out next Monday

some of it, but I was mainly watching the Lions/Falcons game
because Turner and Smith are 2 of my fantasy backs.

How happy are you?
I couldn’t tell if Tampa Bay is better then I thought they were going to be or if New Orleans is not as good as I thought they were?

they're both good, solid teams
we’re obviously superior to both on both sides of the ball, but they’ll beat you in a heartbeat if you don’t bring your “A” game.

Cupcake Game For Philly
I think even they must realize that. Their fans? That’s another story.

I see Dallas Dominating Philly's DL......should feed them a boat load of MBIII/Felix/Choice
I would think we’ll be using more 2 TE, single back sets against them, which should dampen their attempts to zone blitz, as they try to do 80% of the time….This will free up Witten or Bennett/Curtis on a DL or LB in the seams……………while TO should be put in motion more often to free him up off the double teams….and Crayton is working the single coverages with come backs and crossing patterns…….ok there’s the blueprint……now if we can execute this with not as many false starts and illegal formation calls….we’ll be alright…..MY prediction….Dallas 31 – Philly 21
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.
"If you don’t take him off the field as a coach, he will just about die out there," Jerry Jones said. "That impacted my decision. It’s a Michael Irvin-type work ethic. That’s what we are talking about with Felix Jones."

an addition...
In the running game, get Felix carries before halftime. A few in the first, and maybe a drive in the 2nd. Tashard Choice should be the new closer, just to keep the wear and tear off MB3. The two TE set will allow for mismatches in the slot.
On the defensive side, we have the secondary to wait McNabb out, and force him into bad throws. The only question is whether or not the rush gets to Chokey. Thomas is looking sharp, even if he didn’t make 12 tackles like Mickey Spagnola reported.
