It's official
Brady is out for the year. Ive got no love loss for the Patriots and Bill Belicheck but losing a premier player in the league isn't good for football overall. And I never cheer for a player getting hurt, except once when Andre Waters got hurt.
The question now is, has the balance of power shifted? Of course, but where has it shifted too? Conventional logic would say Indy or San Diego (at least in the AFC) except both of those teams got beat yesterday by what most considered lower echilon NFC teams. And both got beat at home!
Is the NFC re-emerging as the dominant conference in football?

Our top 6 are better than the AFC’s top 6….
A true diehard Cowboys fan since 1975.

Redskins in place of NO
Under a new HC and with a young QB, they lost a close game to one of the best teams in football. By the end of the year, all 4 NFC East teams will be regarded as the top 5-6 teams in the NFC. I hate them but I respect them.

Im not buying that
That game was nowhere near as close as the score suggests. The Giants defense dominated the Skins all night. That was more a function of Eli looking like the old Eli, meaning he was inconsistent and played down to the level of his opponent.
I think the Skins will get better as the year goes by as long as the team leaders keep buying into what Zorn is selling. If he starts to lose the veterans in that locker room, guys like Fletcher and Portis then its gonna be a REALLY long seaon for them. But I dont see them being a real threat this year.

bad qb and very inexperienced Head coach
They are to experience so growing pains.
If they want to win in the near future they would start Todd Collins.

No way
Their offense is a long way from finished. Their defensive backs are already injured. They will be at the bottom of the best division in football.
That effort against the Midgets was pathetic. If it wasn’t for typical Midgets football (always keep it close, no matter who you’re playing) it would have been a blowout.

Could make a good case for Carolina
They finally have the running game figured out. As long as the QB stays healthy, they are in the thick of it.
Chicago looked pretty tough too. A stout defense, a great ST, a good RB in Forte, and even Orton looks better. I don’t know how long their offensive line can hold up, and their WR’s stink, but I’d give them a puncher’s chance of making it.

Good points
Chicago and Carolina both look greatly improved. Good effort by Carolina to beat the Chargers without Smith playing. Chicago is truly baffling to me, but they whooped the Colts’ asses legitimately. Gonna be a wacky year…
