Greg Ellis Not Happy... Again.

I am just floored by this guy. The defensive scheme that the Cowboys employed against the Browns completely shut down Winslow for the better part of the game, yet Greg Ellis is complaining about his roll - roughing up the tight end.

Here's a quote from the article -

"We don't want to duplicate that, but I think it did help us."

Let me get this straight - It works but we don't want to do it again? Especially when the NFC East is loaded with talented Tight Ends? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I have stepped up and defended Greg Ellis for more time than he deserves because he is a great talent, but he needs to be a team player. I am surprised he acts like this too. He seems so articulate and intelligent during interviews. I guess he's just selfish. We destroyed the Cleveland Browns and Greg Ellis is bitching. Unbelievable.

He shouldn't have to do it when Newman returns, right?

I thought we were suppose to Henry on the TEs this year.

Thats the plan

Though I give credit to Wade for coming up with the scheme to shut down KW2. Worked pretty well.
That guy seems like more of a WR than a pure TE.

Relax

You’re not going to find a pass rusher anywhere in this league that wants to spend any time lining up at cornerback. Just because it worked once doesn’t mean it will continue to work. Teams will figure it out and then he’ll be screwed.

I’d rather have Ellis getting 15 sacks this year than spending most of his time playing cornerback. That’s why we have Newman, Henry, Jones, Jenkins, and Scandrick.

Ya I agree, but I just don’t like players complaining after such a big win.

Ellis wasn't complaining at all

he was just pointing out that he’s better suited to rush the passer than drop back and cover TEs, thats all and he’s absolutely right.

Don’t get your panties all up in a bunch.

In Romo we Trust

Wade was okay with Greg. He complimented him in his press conference on Monday.

I see nothing wrong with a lb getting a jam on a TE at the line to knock him off stride…if it ain`t broken don`t fix it.
