Garrett Leaving?
Per Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post, many Dallas Cowboy fans may be getting their wish. I don't know if this news can be trusted, but it looks like Jason Garrett may be leaving.
5. I hear that, in spite of the difference in salary between his current job and a potential head coaching position, Jason Garrett is prepared to take one of them unless Jerry Jones does something.
Supposedly JG would actually make less money as a head coach than he does now as the OC in Dallas.
I know we're all upset with how the year went, but I think it would be a big hit if Garrett leaves.
Of course, if this prompts Jerry to dump Wade and hire Mike Shanahan, I'll get over it quickly.

I'm actually torn
I cannot come up with a good reason why the hillbilly clown has not been fired yet. The only way he keeps his job to this point is if JJ is happy with his performance and he can’t be, noone else is.
However, if you could guarantee Cowher a year from now coaching the Cowboys then I would put up with the hillbilly clown for another year. However, in saying that, I would basically be giving up any chance for success next year.

He has to take an offer
If he leaves teams at the altar again this year, it will be tough for him to get another interview.

I wonder why....
We haven’t seen or heard Aikman Talk Bad about his old buddy Jason. He should stick it to him, especially since Troy was so quick to strike out and stick it to the “Cowboys”. If you really want to talk about Class, please talk to me only about Roger Staubach. he was always the Consummate pro and All-American, and would never throw his team under the bus. During times when Aikman was putting Romo down, Roger would speak out and defend Tony, but I would never hear the truth obviously- the fact that Tony has been misled by Jason into becoming a QB under seige. Please Jerry, bring in a coach that can teach Tony how to become the QB to overshadow Troy. We need so badly for that to happen. Garrett is misleading Tony with his constant pass-pass mentality, and constantly putting Tony in bad situations.

stuck with JG?
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports (via Pro Football Talk) that the “buzz” is that Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels are the top two candidates in Denver.
That would leave Jason Garrett as a long shot.
The word in Detroit is that the Lions’ picture should clear up after this weekend. If the Lions want to hire Garrett or another candidate who isn’t working for a team still in the playoffs, they’ll make their move soon. If they wait, that could be considered a sign that they’re holding out for an assistant on a team that isn’t done yet.

he's considered more likely
to be hired by Detroit, not Denver.
