What Dominates The Topics of Discussion Here on BTB?
Since our Beloved Cowboys' football season came to a disastrous halt -- thanks to the 44-6 loss to the Eagles in Week 17 on the grass of Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia -- there seems to have been an elevated rise in the number of FanPosts and comments here on BloggingTheBoys.com... has anybody else noticed that?
Many of us have expressed various ways of coping with this grief.
Some furious, some depressed, some borderline suicidal, some outright maniacal, some through an overindulgence in the substance known as alcohol, and some possessing and experiencing the umbrella called "all of the above."
Whatever your reasons for "getting it all out" the past few days here at the online bar or therapist couch -- with bartenders/shrinks Grizz, Raf, Raul, Brandon, and Tuna Helper serving up the drinks and dishing out the perspective -- I'm hoping that we're all on the road to recovery, on the road to regaining sanity, and on the road to finding hope again in the team we hold undying affection for.
Having stated such extensive drivel, I wish to stand up -- a la "AA" -- and say, "hello, my name is silverblue5" and I am..."
::intensely slaps face twice::
Where was I? Oh yeah.
Please participate in my BTB FanPost Poll...
Everything I wrote above made me curious enough to write this up and throw out a survey asking all of you the following question:

I'm the opposite.
I tend to ignore every fanpost/shot I see that has anything to do with TO, Romo, or getting a new coach. I’m also fairly tired of talking about Ray Lewis and Albert Haynesworth. I’d encourage a continued barrage of posts about the upcoming draft. It’s like a holiday to me.

Should be..
Wade Phillips (aka “Son of Bum”)
He gets our D play more consistently our team will win 11+ games.

I know I couldn't decide between the two
So it’s only fitting they are deadlocked.

Why hasn’t Dallas interviewed anyone for the vacant DC Job?I am seeing coaches being snapped up right and left.. Or did they interview someone and I missed it.

I told you Wade is the DC in reality
who they name as DC someday is of little consequence.

maybe to you
but, it matters to me, I want someone who can learn from Wade and be our coordinator for an extended period of time.

Dick LeBeau
Would be the best we could get. I know it’s really difficult to get a DC away from another team to be our DC, but if we could…..it would be amazing.

will never, ever happen
LeBeau will be the Steelers DC until he retires, which should be very soon.

I'd be on board with that
LeBeau is the best in the biz, bringing over his schemes would only help.

The unheralded Steelers LB coach -- who I touted a few days ago -- is Keith Butler [just ask A Perfect Star and Wmillion]
Check it out -
Keith Butler enters his sixth year on the Steelers’ coaching staff after joining the staff prior to the 2003 season. He remained on staff following Mike Tomlin’s hiring in January, 2007.
Butler and Tomlin previously worked together at Memphis in 1996, where Butler was the linebackers/defensive ends/special teams coach and Tomlin served as the Tigers defensive backs coach.
Butler was named the Steelers’ linebackers coach Jan. 28, 2003, after serving the previous four seasons in a similar capacity with the Cleveland Browns (1999-02).
Butler has been instrumental in the development of the Steelers’ highly regarded linebacking corps. The unit includes two Pro Bowl players, James Farrior and James Harrison. Under Butler’s tutelage, Farrior has led the Steelers’ defense in tackles for the past two seasons. Butler has also helped groom one of the team’s defensive surprises of 2007 in Harrison, who was elected as a Pro Bowl starter after the 2007 season. Harrison was originally a rookie free agent with the Steelers in 2000 that re-signed with the team just before training camp in 2004 after a year’s absence.
In 2006, Butler’s linebacking crew helped the Steelers rank second in the AFC and third in the NFL in rushing defense. The unit allowed just 88.3 rushing yards per game and helped the defense to not allow a 100-yard rusher the entire season.
In 2005, Butler’s linebackers helped the Steelers lead the AFC and rank fourth in the NFL in total defense. The sack tandem of Joey Porter (10.5) and Clark Haggans (9.0) ranked as the best for a linebacker duo in the entire NFL.
He’d be nice to have as a potential DC successor… post Wade.
Unfortunately for us, I think Butler is da heir apparent to current Steelers’ DC-Dick LeBeau
Read the rest of his bio here.

If we're smart
we won’t wait for Lebeau to retire. And it’s not like we won’t hire coordinators prior to hiring a HC. If I am reading this scenario correctly, Wade is still the coach because Cowher does not want to coach next year. Would it make sense Cowher in 2010 with Keith Butler already here?

Brilliant idea. Now THAT would be pro-active.
And too good to be true.
Maybe YOU should be our Cowboys’ GM!
